Alisa saw the two cats, Raul and Path. "Darn," she muttered. The rules were that she could only speak to Raul personally.

She decided to wait. After all, she'd been watching her son for years.

"The winds," Path replied simply.

"That's certainly a different answer," Raul commented.

"To be honest, I came because I was worried."

"You? Worried?"

"Yes. You know I keep contact with all the Claws, correct?"

"Of course."

"Well, lately, the Sky claw has been rather hostile."

"Aren't they always?" Raul asked lightly, trying to make a joke. Path was being too serious for his liking.

"More so than usual," Path clarified. "I think it may have something to do with another claw."

"Another claw? There's no such thing!" Raul was appaled.

"I think there is. Perhaps some of the drifters are getting together?"

"That would make some sense..." Raul pondered this. "And this makes my dreams make a bit more sense as well..."

"Your dreams?"

"Yes, I have had dreams about a new group of cats. I pushed them away as stray fears, but lately I've not been so sure."

"Well, I was considering going to this new claw..." Path paused, looking Raul over curiously, trying to read his reaction.

New Claw? Alisa was just as surprised. She paced, wondering... Does it matter now if Path hears me? Can I reach just Raul?

She had to try. "Hello," she ventured.

Both cats jumped. She watched as they explored the barn from straw to loft.

"I'm here," Alissa said. "Look closely at the straw bales."

They did, and there she was. She took a moment to think. "I heard what you said. I didn't know either."

Shock played across both faces.

"I know. But listen, Raul. I need to tell you..." She lifted her left front paw. Raul gasped. There on her leg was his mark: a single black ring!

Name: Tira
Claw: Sable
Appearance: Persian blue with green eyes
Traits: keeps herself to herself and she is known as The Ghost because she is so good at stalking.
Rank: Warrior

Tira skulked around Sky territory, a few of the cats in that claw knew she came over once in a while, but she never did them any harm, and she was a fast fighter, the scars on her face and legs proved that.

Teo saw Tira and smiled. He'd met her before. "Come on in," he called.

Tira acknowledged with a wave of her tail. She jumped onto a rock, then landed neatly inside Sky's base.

"Me-al, Teo," she said respectfully. "I met some loners on the way. Some of them had most interesting news." She paused for a moment, letting that sink in. "There was a young one-what's her name?"

"Feather?" Teo's interest was aroused.

"That's her. She said she had a message for you. 'Look for one who bears Alisa's Mark,' she said. Does that mean anything to you?"

Teo suddenly went rigid at the mention of Alisa. "So it's true," he breathed.

"What's true?"

"It's true what they said. I have a brother in Sable."

Tira sat down for a second.

This was interesting news indeed. Teo looked seriously shocked so she purred, stood up and flicked her tail across his nose.

"Well what are we waiting for then? Let's go find him."

Teo was shocked. "What? Leave now? I should at least tell one of the captains."

"Come on. If we're quick, they won't even miss us." Tira nudged him towards the entrance. "Put a move on, hunter!"

Tira had to almost push Teo along.

He kept trying to make excuses as to why they shouldn't go and why they should tell someone.

"Oh come on! If they find you with me they will claw us both to within an inch of our lives."

"Maybe they would understand..." Tira nipped him on his tail. "Ok, ok I'm going!"

Tira rolled her eyes and followed after him.

"Sorry I had to bite you, but you were being an idiot."

Teo nodded and looked a little sheepish.

"Sorry."

Tira smiled and nudged him under the chin, "Come on then, lets go hunting, for your brother."

"Raul...your paw..." Path looked from the Goddess-Cat to his old friend. Raul held up his paw, showing the same mark that Alisa held on hers.

"This is quite strange..." Raul commented quietly.

He thought perhaps those mice disagreed with him. No one he knew had that mark; he'd thought it was unique.

"So, you are..." he faltered.

"Yes," said Alisa. "You are my son, Raul."

Path looked from one to the other. "So, that's what became of the other one," he said, too low for Raul to hear. "I always wondered."

Oooh, I have Cyla don't I? Sorry about that! Forgot I joined. Here's a bio -

Name: Cyla
Claw: Sable
Appearance: She's a calico. Her coat is white with black, orange and brown patches. Her eyes are a piercing blue. Something like this -

Image

Traits: Loyal, dependable and observant. Very good at not being seen and keeps her Claw i good order.
Rank: Captain. The youngest ever in fact.

I watched my hunter Raul talk with Path and followed them discreetly as they padded around. Then when Alisa joined them, that's when I got really interested. I crept a little closer, listening in on the conversation, finding it harder and harder to stay quiet.I always did like a challenge but Raul was Alisa's son? Now that was a revelation.

Hey, you read my mind. I was thinking of Cyla as a calico...

Well, thanks for the post.

Tira and Teo stopped outside the barn. They heard voices coming from inside. Tira instantly recognised the voices of Raul and Path.

Suddenly there was a hissing from behind them. Tira spun around and raised a paw ready to fight. "Cyla?"

The calico stopped hissing, "Tira?"

"What are you doing here?"

"I was... Who is that? A Sky?" she crouched and hissed at Teo.

Tira leapt inbetween them. "You want him, go through me. He is doing no harm here."

Teo blinked as the two cats eyed each other up.

"Fine. Who is he do command such loyalty from you anyway?"

"He is apparently Raul's brother."

Cyla's jaw dropped.

No problem Kyte and well, calico just seemed so perfect =)

Cyla

"That's all I need," I took in the new cat's appearance and scent, filing the records for later reference before approaching Tira. She didn't back down but met my stare with those penetrating green eyes until our noses were almost touching. Then at last she blinked and lowered her head just a touch so that it was almost level with my own. I smiled and nodded before entering the barn. Tira was a tough cat but she was sensible. Still, she was head strong and starting to step out of line.

"Okay then, I think it's time we all discussed this," I announced as I padded into the barn. Annoyed that I had been forced to relinquish my cover and more so due to the trespassers. I didn't mind having other cats around but I had a claw to protect and strangers made me wary. Besides, some of the new kittens were in the hay loft just above us.

Raul looked from Cyla to Teo and back. "What's this all about?"

Before anyone could think of a reply, Teo blurted, "I came to see my brother!"

He looked at this strange cat, wondering if he'd gone mad. "Your brother? Who's that?"

Teo stepped forward. "Listen, I know this sounds strange, but hold out your paw."

Raul did, still wondering.

"That's it all right! You're the one!"

Cyla felt her world tilting around her ears. "What is going on here?" she half asked, half pleaded.

"Raul is my brother," said Teo. "That mark proves it."
