I am a bibliophile
Those simile to me know how the pages
as yellow as the sun
and faded as an old pair of jeans
Can take you to another world
watching the characters
lost and scared
or powerful and knowing
Frustrated as you are
you always keep reading
always
Just hoping for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
Just turning the pages
always.

*Um, this is my first time tying poetry so try to go hard on me so I don't get into any bad poetry-related habits. Thanks for reading!

I had this lovely little "ahhh" moment right when I finished that. I want to go read a book now. On to the criticism.
I am going to take a liberty with that second line and assume you meant "similar", and then tell you that it's a bad idea. I know it's an important line, just to set up the rest of the sentence, and it needs to flow better. Try "those like me" or make a separate line with the verb ("know how," or something like it) in it and turn that whole thing into the object, like
I am a bibliophile
Intimate with
Those who know how the pages
as yellow as the sun
and as faded as an old pair of jeans
(etc.)

And maybe elaborate more on the kinds of books? Not everything you read is yellowed.

Other than that part, I think that you have succeeded completely with this poem. Some people may get picky about capitalization and punctuation, but since you have a capital at the start of every sentence and the clauses are broken up into lines, you don't need anything else.

Edit: Also, I'd suggest getting rid of one of the Just's entirely, or replacing it with a synonym, because there are so many words that you could use there that add an extra layer of nuance. (Simply, only, etc.)

Yeah, with the "yellow as the sun", it was originally an English assignment where we have to use metaphors and similes, but thanks SO much for that, it really helped!
