Hi this is ninja-Z(Zoltan) bringing you an all new adventure series! It takes place 8BBA(eight yrs. before the battle of Asmacore), and is in the galaxy me and my sister, psychic ninja, invented! Here is a short prologue on what I plan to write:
The Almega Galaxy: Corruption
Intro
Kwest Ommarin was an average Zorrac citizen, 13 years of age. But a twist of fate made him into a young bounty hunter, struggling for survival. As two new leaders of the Almega Galaxy are being elected in hopes of solving a galaxy-wide conflict, Kwest must choose sides, make new friends, and risk his life in order to survive. Follow Kwest in this galactic tale of danger, treachery, conflict, and the rise of good, in a galaxy of change and corruption.

This seems very implausible to me. A 13 year old wouldn't be able to hold his own against a 15 year old bully, yet he is supposed to overpower harden criminals that are stronger and bigger than he is?

True, a gun is a good equalizer, but really! The moment the gun is gone, he's a goner.

I suggest you rethink your protagonists.

EDIT: I noticed you mentioned this as an action adventure, but it feels more like a SF and you put it in fan-fiction. Unless it is based off a preexisting idea, you might want it elsewhere. Where would you like it?

This is more of a summary rather than a prologue, but it sounds interesting. Is your story related to Timea's in some way? I can't wait to read. I like Timea's story, so I look forward to reading yours.

Jabber, the One and Only!

I agree that the gun would be an equalizer. However, there are two sides to this:

On one hand, you could give the character some very special powers. The risk of Mary Sue-ness increases, but it could explain the character more.

On the other hand, you could keep the character mundane, in terms of special powers. You might consider raising the character's age to 16. The reason I cite 16 is because he would have the physical power to fight at that point, and you could add military training to the backstory (though rare, there are instances of 16 year olds lying to enlist in the military as recently as the 1990s).

I like the premise, but I think 13 is a little young without super powers.

I agree that the main character should probably be a little older but this sounds like it will be an interesting story and I look forward to reading chapter one.

It's posted in fan-fic the same reason mine is--it has elements (e.g. starships, datapads, etc.) from Star Wars.

And don't be to quick to judge! (That's the problem with most of you on this site) This was just a summary! Like what someone would read on the back cover of a book! He just wanted to tell you the run-down!

So don't worry..you don't know anything about the characters yet! May be there's sometime Zoltan isn't telling you yet...

Actually, this doesn't fare well in this section. It would do better in Writers Corner, where you can tell people about something you plan to write. This isn't fiction yet, it's a summery, and thus, can't be critiqued, which is what the literary forum is all about.

*Twidles thumbs and waits for a mod to come move it...that would be nice. *

However, when you do decide to post the actual story, it would do great here =D

ok im new..i feel confident and have already begun part 1!

This sounds pretty good. I see it's kinda like Timmy's story...shoot I still need to finish reading Ch.2. Ugh. But yeah, It seems like a good read. True the age could maybe be raised a bit to make it seem more realistic, but hey. Can't wait to read more.
