Anybody heard of ABJDs? Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls? Yeah. These are them. Shot in digital w/an older Cannon Rebel. It may be a weired hobby, but I enjoy posing them up and taking psudo-artsy, over-saturated pics of them. (I also did all the face painting on these guys.)

what'd'yall think?

How can you live in your house! They're scary as hell!

Number 3 is the most terrifing. I cant tell what she's thinking.

I think they're beautiful. They've got a lot of character for dolls. My favorite photo is the one of the doll in the pink shirt; she reminds me of my friend. That shot looks so natural, like it's of a real person.

I don't like the doll with the ringlet curls. Her expression doesn't look as pondering as the others, and the bright red lips are kind of overpowering.

Cool outfits. :D Thanks for posting these, please post more! Do you mind if I use number three as my computer wallpaper?

The first and third are pretty cool.

But slightly creepy at the same time.

The pictures seem so lifelike. And I don't think it's creepy at all...they're just dolls. :?

First of all:
I second that.

Second:
The second peice's lighting really threw the peice off. It made the contrast a little over the top and it made the effect more disposable camera than brilliant shot.

The first peice is absolutely fantastic, plain and simple.

Yes, the third girl is totally creepy.

The fourth shot was decent, though it didn't really follow the rule of thirds.

The fifth shot seems completely natural to me, actually. The doll seems less doll-like and more human.

I still can't get over how awesome the first picture is.

Well done. I'm probably going to have nightmares tonight over the third doll :D
I feel the dire need to go buy tootsie rolls right now, and I can't really explain why.

Um yes, I have to add to that.

Freaky. Yes. Freaky.

But, the pictures aren't bad.

Still though....they are seriously creepy! =]

Asian ball-jointed dolls! I know Meep has one, and I'm currently saving up to get one ><" You did all the make-up yourself? It looks pretty good ^^

What are thier names?

I really like the first photo, the way she seems to be day-dreaming about outside the window. I adore the colthes she's wearing too, looks almost victorian.

In the third one she looks like she's plotting something, I wonder what...

I'd love to see more :)
please grant me my small wish; (love me to the marrow of my bones)

JEEZE. The first one scares the living daylight out of me. She looks like she came straight out of a scary movie! Haha, I can hardly sleep with my not-nearly-as-life-like dolls. I put them in my closet on the top shelf so I can't see them. *snicker* I think all of them are beautiful. My favorites are the first one and the third one, but only because the third one reminds me of Lirael for some reason. Where did you get them, and did you make their clothes?

Those are pretty cool, how much do they run for?
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

I love the first. The lighting and position of the doll are perfect and it's really quite scary. The third is nice too though not as good and I quite like the fourth. I love the expressions these have, they're so thoughtful, almost as if they were real. Makes me think of the goosebumps books...

I really kinda liked these. They're refreshingly diffrerent from the mostly idistigushable drawings you usually see in this forum.

The fourth is cute, and the one with long black hair is mysterious-looking. The first two look like a Japanese Manga cartoon with the big eyes and all. They're nice, really. :)
