Introduction to Concussion:
Alright, I wrote this song when I actually had a concussion. It flows so well but I can't explain how its sung, I would have to show. But sadly I cant :P

Concussion:
Staying up late drinking hard all through the night
No reason to survive all through the night
If we have to go, then we go find a new
Place that we can dance all night long

Oh I’ve been thinking that our troubled days
Are over finally once for all
And if you don’t want to show me that you care
Then go, just go, just go

Driving in your car empty street so it’s alright
Gotta keep up don’t let the cops see, alright?
Get in the backseat take off all our clothes
What she don’t know won’t hurt her, no

And I’ve been thinking that our troubled days
Are over finally once for all
And if you don’t want to show me that you care
Then go, just go, just go,
Just leave, just leave, no trace

The show must go on with or without you
Prove it to me, show me that you’re good
Tell me where you are planning to go
Show me all that you know

Woah!

Well, I’ve been thinking that our troubled days
Are over finally once for all
And if you don’t want to show me that you care
Then go, just go, just go
Just go, just go, just….

Go…

Introduction to Riverlight:
Wow. The only word I can think. Wow. It doesn't make sense. If you can understand it, then, by all means tell me XD. This song is sung fast. Really really fast.
So, what happens when you mix 3:00 AM and songwriting? This...

Riverlight:
Summer seems like it has gone by
Living life blue sky day summerlight
Dancing in the rain and melting in the snow like
Living life like life doesn’t show and
Dancing in the night life show life summerlight
Living in the blue sky night sky moonlight
Believin’ life is more like a snowy night
Forever lasting on the new calendar
Right!

Happily singing the same tune new again
Bringing old chorus to light and summer flight
Running like a bird with no wings on a kite
Passing notes through the stars all through the night yeah
Happily singing the same tune new again
Bring old thoughts to the light and summer night
Happily singing the same tune new again
But without you I dunno how to die right
Livin’ in the blue sky night sky moonlight
Believin’ life is more like a snowy night
Forever lasting on the new calendar
Right!

I keep wondering how I coulda’
Let her leave to find anotha’
Living life was just so free then
Never had a second niece yeah
Living back in the country free then
Never thought I had to leave her
Shoulda’ thought that I had’a loved her
Living life was just so free then
Living back in the country free then
Never thought I had to leave her
Shoulda’ thought I had’a loved her
Livin’ life was just so easy

Sitting outside in the rain yet once again
Thinking of you and your embrace once again
Standing on the couch and tables thinking bout
Living life in a jar glass once again
Holding hands in this sunlight moonlight
Living on plants we found in our trail, right
Staring at the blue sky sunlight ceiling light
Night would cloud our views on the skylight
Dancing in the sunlight moonlight riverlight
Living on plants we found in our trail, right
Hope the blue-sky sunlight ceiling light
Clouds the night our views on the skylight
Hope the blue-sky sunlight ceiling light
Night could cloud our views on the skylight

Happily singing the same tune new again
Bringing old chorus to light and summer flight
Running like a bird with no wings on a kite
Passing notes through the stars all through the night yeah
Happily singing the same tune new again
Bring old thoughts to the light and summer night
Happily singing the same tune new again
But without you I dunno how to die right
Without you I dunno how to die right
Without you I dunno how to die right
Without you I dunno how to die right

Final Notes:
Yeah, I'm not good at songwriting. I'm working on it. But anyway, this is my first post, so not to be too harsh if there's some bad comments to these

I like how the rhyming scene and it gives off great imagery. Keep it up. =]

I like Riverlight! hehe It's so cool. I can actually imagine a tune to it, but I wish I knew what it actually was. *shrugs* This is really good. And the first one is really nice. I like the lyrics. You're a awesome song writer Marc! Keep up the good work!

K, I'm not good at critiquing poems and songs and stuff. However, I did like your work here. When I read the second song, I got a bit lost.

I believe this (I'm not sure if it's totally true. I'm not a poet  ): Song lyrics are just like poems. If you post your lyrics, don't forget the punctuation. You may not have the music, but puncuation would give us a better idea at how it flows.

But, I'm picky. Don't listen to me if you don't want to. I loved your work! Don't think you're not good. If anyone's bad, it's me. No one's worse than me...besides that super-duper long palindrome

Keep up the good work!

I loved the lyrics to concussion, they just seemed like the type of song I'd listen too, and Riverlight just seemed really upbeat; I actually had my own little tune for it, but I wanna hear the real one now. I think you're good; i'm not...not with lyrics at least. Poems, on the other hand...lol

I like riverlight. Seems quite upbeat and nice descriptions. Like to hear it in music form though lol.

I like them both. I already told you to go listen to Sand in my Shoes, but you never said if that was about the tempo of Riverlight. Have you tried recording the song and then uploading it to youtube or something? That'd be interesting.

wow. That was quite interesting. I do not understand the second lyrics at all, but it feels right just reading them. Great job
