This is just some random snaps of my sketchbook work (so far)

Yes, there is only 2, but the course only started a week ago :D

SHOCK! Its a poor photo actually...i swear it looks better in real life!

Image

anger!

RAAWR. that one isn't finished (obviously, since its very patchy) and the colours are still a bit off. Its really only for practice though!

What do you think?

A vapour sometimes like a bear or lion,
A towered citadel, a pendant rock,
A forked mountain, or blue promontory,
With trees upon't that nod unto the world,And mock our eyes with air.."

They're great, but one eye is bigger than the other on the angry one.

I really like the left (left for me, right for the person in the drawing) eye of the person in the first one!

I think the first one is the best and I agree that the left eye is very well drawn.

I like 'em! The finger in the second one seems a little detached from the hand though, maybe a little too far away from the other fingers or something. But, the lack of color thus far may be throwing it off some.

Don't worry, sketches are all I can draw too :D

I like the first one more. The guy's lips in the second one are kind-of weird...too far down or something...
But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett

Hmm..thanks for the responses. I shall re-respond i think.

1.) One eye only really looks bigger in the 2nd one because it is in shadow

2.) Yeah i know the hand is pooor but it was literally done in 5 mins and its not finished yet XD

3.) Its supposed to be a woman lol, and the lips are supposed to be like that because she's sticking her lip out...you know, like shes angry? I swear its perfectly proportioned to the original picture...im a bit of a freak when it comes to proportions.

I liked the first one, and the second one was good, but the... person in the second one really has odd lips, even if they are pushed out. Thye just look.. weird. But otherwise good.

For a moment I thought she was showing the middle finger XdD Looks like a guy at first, until you mentioned she's female.

I like the shading, but what is are the lines above her right eye? They look like stitches or something.

Lol, same. I saw the second picture and I gasped before I realized it was her pointer finger. Hehe... Anyway, I really think the first one is done well. Where did you happen to get the photo for the second?

I think the eyes in the first pic are a little to far apart. Just a smidge and the second one looks great. It'll be better once you finish it.

Cool, I remember portraits in High School. Have fun :D

These are really good, Mooz. You should try your hand at drawing some of the YWS kiddos. ;)

Poetry is my cheap means of transportation. By the end of the poem the reader should be in a different place from where he started. I would like him to be slightly disoriented at the end, like I drove him outside of town at night and dropped him off in a cornfield.
