(Hey, there's a prologue before this...)

Chapter I: The Damned and The Broken

--January 10, 2007--

Terra Fauntree drank from the glass as she desperately tried to get rid of her haunting nightmare. "No matter what I do, it just keeps coming back." Just the thought of the killer led her hands to break the glass of scotch with anger. She kept an empty face as to prevent the rage from seeping through her mask of calmness. Staring down at her trickling blood coming from her stained palms, she instantly noted that the people around her were too busy with the gleeful night to even notice her. Realizing that they completely ignored her, she smiled at the thought and was glad that no one bothered to care.

An impetuous appearance of a mysterious man disturbed her chain of thoughts. “Tsk, tsk! A beautiful angel like you shouldn’t hurt yourself y’know.” The man chuckled after saying his sensual words, carefully observing the blood on her hands. She let out a soft sigh suggesting a hint of exasperation as she scowled at his brown eyes.
“Leave me alone. You don’t know what I’m capable of.”
“Well, you don’t know what I’m capable of.” He smirked, an intimation of sarcasm was shown in his dark voice. She rolled her eyes after hearing the satiric voice he just uttered. “Come on angel, let’s go outside, I’ll help you with that wound.” He said, tilting his head toward the back door. As she replied, an unusual tone resided in her voice; she gave out a smirk and gracefully slanted her head, signaling him and said, “Yeah sure.”

The man silently opened the door that led to the alley, he allowed her to step out first, then followed closely after. He shut the door as he stared at her, the midnight moon casting her angelic face in a mystical shadow, enhancing her beauty more. A small light from the bar shed slightly outside, acting as a paradox against the dark alley, giving a little glow to the two people standing in front of each other. The darkness enveloped both of them in a sarcastic conversation.
“Let’s make this quick.” Terra mentioned as she scowled her azure eyes at his.
“Awww, come on! It would be better if it’s nice and slow…” He replied calmly, dragging his body towards her. Unknown to her what his intentions are, she slowly grabbed a black .45 caliber from her holster, silent enough for him not to notice. Putting the safety off, the gun was momentarily aimed point-blank to his chest. She smiled happily at him, her eyes giving the idea that she’s clearly annoyed, and wants to end it tonight. Unsurprised by her sudden actions, his palms slowly grasped the gun along with her dainty hands and lethargically dragged it down. “Hold on there angel! Don’t be too aggressive now…”

She gave him a disgusted look and broke her gun free from his hands. “Fuck off.” A loud gunshot was heard, deafening enough to reach the interior of the bar and echoed out the unusually quiet streets of New York. Before Terra knew it, the man she tried to kill suddenly disappeared in front of her, leaving an empty space of a muddy alley facing her blue eyes. Endless possibilities entered her mind but the most reasonable one stood from the rest. This man is a vampire and she just got herself into a malignant situation.
“God, I love it when you’re angry!” The man whispered in her ear with his usual sarcastic voice. He stood closely behind her, the warmth of her body giving him a feeling of wanting.
“Oh God, you’re a vampire.” Terra said in a calm, almost insulting tone. A giggle echoed through her ears as his hands quickly grasped her waist, reaching deep into her pocket. She quickly turned around and gave a frightening glare at him.
“So what if I’m a vampire? You’ve got a problem with that?” He said in reply, his eyes gazing straight at hers.
“Well it’s your lucky day, I’m a vampire hunter.” The gun was aimed again, he regretted not getting rid of it when he had a chance.

He met only a few vampire hunters, usually he’d kill them quick as to not make a mess out of it. Hearing the fact that the girl he was wishing to play with turned out to be a vampire hunter, the first thing he did was to give a very playful smile.
“Hold it angel! You know I’ve got this ring of yours.” He said, holding up a golden ring on his hand. The ring glistened through the dark alleyway, giving the man’s face a small glow, enhancing his pallid face. Terra grunted as she saw what was the most important thing she has in her possession, and a pathetic vampire pervert has it in his hands.
“You’re a vampire hunter right? Why don’t you go and hunt me down? I’ll be in inside upstairs, I’ll be waiting for you and maybe we can do something…” The vampire was quickly out of sight; Terra feeling defeated again, lowers the gun and glanced up the inn’s towering walls. The woman stood alone in the darkness, her gun held loosely, her thoughts running along the man she just met. His face came back to her, his haunting smile and his pale skin, his hazelnut eyes warmly staring at her almost feeling a bit human. Anger resided in her as she tightened her grip on the pistol; the rage inside of her took full control.

I like this text. Even if there is a few repetitions (I can't find where now I read again. I'm so silly :o) your style is fluid and easy to read. Your vocabulary is well used.
You are very talented to create an atmosphere. Good job !

One point: Well it's custom if a new person is speaking then you have a paragragh. I dont think you would really have to but some people get sonfused by that.

Good job, everyone loves an exciting story! ;)

Because of the one bad word, you should rate it at least pg-13. I don't know what the rating system is on this site...but the f-word kind of exceeds the bounds of innocence, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, a well-written story.
