Why, I don't know.

I love summer. I can finally cut loose, wear clothes that don't match, and let my roots actually show. YAY FOR SUMMER! I may possibly put it in the teenage writers competition I manage... but considering no one would be allowed to vote for it, I really don't see the point.

It was colored, but I thought it looked cooler as different shades of purple

I really like this. It's something that's nice to look at. The shading and everything was just done right. Good job.

And I think the background is fine. A simple background isn't always a bad one.

I have little con-crit. I think colour might work on this and you do need to sort out the background a bit.
