((I have trouble finding where to put these drabble things?))

The wind blew the stray strands of dirty brown hair across her face, shielding the eyes that were overflowing down her cheeks.

A tattered leather suitcase sat by her feet, and she stared down at it intently, like her, it had seen better times, it had lived life to the full.

Again and again, it had been used (just as she had), and again and again it held strong. But each trip took its toll on it, the once smooth surface showed patches of rough, and some points, the bag had become so weak it had torn into tiny holes.

Her heart was the same.

The bus slowly pulled up in front of her, and the driver went about his routine cheeriness.

"As far as you go." She spat, thrusting a crumbled bank note into his hand.

"That'll be Three pounds, sixty two pence change."
"Nostalgia's just not what it used to be..."

Hmm.. I spose I'd peg this in the 'Other' section at the bottem. Though I spose it is in fact ficticious...

Regardless, It was an interesting read. I'm not exactly sure what to say..

But it was fresh.

The good parts of a book may be only something a writer is lucky enough to overhear or it may be the wreck of his whole damn life — and one is as good as the other.

It's in the right place. :) I'd call this flash-fic.

I like it a lot, and I'm glad you ended it where you did. Its shortness adds.

The comparasin(sp? Sorry :p) between the woman and the suitecase is well done, and not too exagerated. It's fresh, too. I've never seen anything like it before.

"As far as you go." She spat, thrusting a crumbled bank note into his hand.

This should look like this:

"As far as you go," she spat, thrusting a crumbled bank note into his hand.

Tags are still part of the sentence.

Thanks a lot for posting!

I really want to know more about your character...in such a small amount of words you hint at so much...i wish it was used as a foreshadowing tool...that means I want more to come...please? lol...i asked nicely...loved the repetition of "again and again"...added to the pain of the character quite well...

If you wake up in the morning and all you can think of is writing, then you're a writer...
