Being poor, one always has his fantasy of the day when he becomes rich----“When I’m rich, I’d get a big flexible car driving me to anywhere I want, a spacious modernized house harboring me whenever I feel tired, a flaring career bringing the continuous prospect which glories me and my family…” I used to have such flowery day-dream when I was a little girl, but of course my dreams were limited to a wild eyes doll, a excellent electronic organ or a adorable bicycle.
Dream is dream unless it is realized or valuated while the life is still less than ideal in many respects. When growing up, I’m quite frugal of the things I obtain, for the sake of all the expectation and effort involved in procuring them. As the saying goes “What is hard to get is hard to forget.” I cannot agree more with it and know well that the more painstakingly in the run of getting the things, the more treasurable people will feel about them. Even when I lost my purse without any money in owing to my carelessness, I felt overwhelmingly distressed for it was the purse that I had dreamed of owning for a long time, that after I took pains to bring it home I formed my attachment toward for a long time, that I took for granted I would cherish for another long time in future. Needless to say, it is something more than a purse----the material; it is something priceless carved in my heart as well as in memory.
Still, I have dreamed numerous things or rather stuff, that I could never own in my life. Although they turned out to be a low threshold of pain when I could not help but store them in mind and watch them fade away, finally I apprehend the truth, that is, life is but colored by these dreams and we are but inspired by these dreams.
So, I’m also wondering if one day I really become what can make anything she wants handy, will I still regard everything of mine as a treasure and love it like it only can belong to me once or just let it easy come and easy go?
