Well, he is going to be near Harris' room when I find the time to post on him. I'm a bit busy at the moment because I'm starting my Duke of Endingborough award soon... Bust since I have a bit of spare time now I'll post on him.
Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes... Then who cares? You're a mile away and you've got their shoes.
My intent with my latest post is to have Dreffan join with the group to escape the town. His Bloodguard will hold the gate as they leave, then stay there to give them a chance to make some ground before they are pursued. Dreffan will remain with the group, then reveal his purpose to them.

1. Kira is possessed by some spirit that followed Alden. This will be more of a mentor figure than anything malicious. It will also take quite a bit of time before people begin to suspect something, since Kira is usually very quiet and reserved.
The spirit knows magic (it possessed Alden to heal him) and should be able to teach Kira a lot about it. It can take over Kira's body, but it prefers to plant emotions or thoughts. I feel an example is in order.
Kira is asked to jump from one tree to another while she is at great height. She becomes scared. The spirit can fill her with confidence, so she can jump.
2. Bad weather. This will make travel more difficult and make the group slower, which is always good conflict. It also focuses more on the path, which I think we've lost track of.
3. Small obstacles. The idea here is that the group can run into small obstructions that need to be solved. It can be as simple as crossing a tree that bridges a ravine or as complicated as figuring out how to cross a flooded river.
These conflicts aren't so much difficult as they are time consuming and can be used to accentuate your own character's abilities. Feel free to apply them as often as you like.
4. Animal attacks. Pack predators would keep the group on edge, especially if they are known to be stalking the group. Other animal trouble can be almost stepping on snakes, etc.
5. New enemies. Thieves and stuff are always a danger, but I'm thinking more about being ambushed or taken prisoner. This could result in a neat escape scene (maybe a rooftop chase?)
So, if we can get shorter conflicts, we should see the activity increase in the storybook by several times.
