The Quest for Poseidon's Crown

Prologue

Long, long ago, giants ruled the Earth. Not the “fee fi fo fum” kind of giants you hear about in storybooks. No, these giants were the gods of Genovian mythology. Among these gods was Leikum, god of the oceans. Leikum, like the other gods, was immortal. But after being shunned by non-believers, his immortality slowly washed away, and Leikum ceased to exist. He left an heir, however. An heir so powerful and strong that one day, they would rule the world. This heir was a little girl named Ariana Riverez.

Pretty short. Has a few errors. How many heirs did Poseidon have? Could have some potential.

I don't quite understand how Posideon, aftering having faded away because he was shunned by non-believers would produce and heir who would be so infinitely powerful.

The poem sets up the story nicely, not quite sure about the Posideon stuff, it doesn't quite fit in with any of the mythology so you could basically make up your own God and it would sound much better.
