I drew this on the field at college a few weeks ago (got bored of all the people flirting with each other ) anyway this is a sort of formal wear thing. It's made of two parts, the bit that flows onto the ground is the top layer and under it you can see the bottom side poking out. It could be worn as a one layer dress type thing.

I think the idea of the different clothes is really cool =] Especially the japanese wedding dress. Try to work on proportion, that's a big thing when it comes to designing and such. Get down your proprtions and draw them a lot, eventually you'll find exactly what you're looking for and a lot of people will see the same potential that I do =] Luck.
