I keep thinking the guy from the Dresden Files.

Which name do you all like better for a sixteen year-old girl with dark brown hair and green eyes of French descent: Anna (her current name), Clara, or Sophie?

If it's pronounced like ALL-IN then I love it. It's pretty, so the character is most likely attractive, probably popular, probably stuck up, long hair, follows the latest style...look out leg warmers!

A lady of high-society. Probably stuck-up and always trying to attract attention.

A small girl, picked on by her big sisters. I can imagine her being a loud-mouth too.

I picture a 10 or 11 year old Japanese girl, with her little sailor fuku and all. I think she's really cute and curious, and has all sorts of everyday crazy adventures.

Hm, I picture that girl on Friends, so I'm guessing your character has some whacky friends they hang out with, and they're pretty good natured and maybe really ambitious or bored with their small town.

Wouldn't that be L'ila then? A girl, young. She might have pigtails. She would act happy and clueless, but understand more than people think. She also really likes sweets. :D

:-) Every time I hear that name, it brings a smile to my face, because it reminds me of the cute little boy down the street. But, not everyone knows him....I'm pretty sure that Liam was the name of a biblical character, but that's probably not anyone's first thought when they hear that name. So, readers will be open to whatever you have to say about this character. This simply means that you'll have to include more detail about him.
