I'm sorry too....I just really get into things to much to the point where my brain totally shuts down and I can't think straight. And yes we do make mistakes. I mean we're only human.....or are we? Does anybody think that a person is totally human?
Piper shook herself out of her shocked silence. Quite disgusted by some of her companions behavior, she strode into the throne room, brushing past them without a word. The others took the cue and filed into the room behind her.
If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. ~Lord Byron
(Shape shifters, by nature, aren't completely human, being shapeshifters and all that.) Tassen hurries after the others, calling "Wait for me!" After a moment, he stops running, then concentrates. His form wavers, then rearanges itself. A moment later, a bird stands on the ground where Tassen was. The bird shoots off after everyoene else, eventually catching up and landing on Kyles' shoulder.
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. - George Orwell, 1984
((Way to go, misspriss! I totally agree, it WAS becoming unrealistic... That was mainly why I decided to be a commoner, so I can't randomly start god-moding. And I like the "secretly following" them idea.))
Aliena stood silently in shock as the door to the throne room closed behind the last Elite.
That had been way too close.
The members of the Elite obviously weren't on good terms with each other. Or, at least, that lady who had called her a milkmaid and that guy who had randomly decided to defend her didn't like each other. Apparently, it didn't take much to make an Elite mad, even though she appreciated what the man had done for her.
And then there was that guy who had almost impaled the king. Her heart had nearly stopped when the king had come into the hallway, but thankfully most people were more concerned with flying swords than why random commoners were hanging out with soon-to-be-legendary warriors.
By the time all of this had ran through Aliena's mind, she was far away from the throne room. She continued walking steadily, thankful that she had the insight to realize that running would have been too conspicuous. Aliena had risked her job enough for one night.
But...
Simply seeing the Elite wasn't enough to satisfy her curiosity. They were certainly more than up to par to become the saviors of the country, but did they really know the nature of their mission?
Aliena paused to think for a moment.
She had some planning to do.
My high school senior mascot is a dragon. Take that, monkey!
Ramza stood at the window staring at the sky when Reven returned to the room.
He walked up and stood next to Ramza, "What's on your mind?"
"The others don't get along very well. It's a problem, and that girl, there's something strange about her. For a commoner, she's not very common."
"Indeed, well, leave the others, that's the kings problem. The girl though needs to be confronted."
"You may be right Reven, but let me go see her. You can have a negative effect on people."
"Very well."
As Ramza was walking out of the room he turned, "Don't duwell on the past, we've all done things we're not proud of. It's hard, hard for all of us, but we get by all the same."
Ramza left and went looking for the girl. It took some time, but he finally found her sitting behind a boulder, "Well hello."
The girl looked up to see Ramza atop of it. She started to shake.
"I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't entened for all of that to happen."
The girl seemed to calm down when she learned see wasn't in trouble.
"May I ask your name?"
"It's Aliena."
"Well Aliena, may I show you something," he said jumping off the boulder and exteneding his arm.
Revan watched the two of them leave. He glanced at everyone else as they were watching the king speak. Apparently, the king was ready to make the preporations for the journey complete. Revan sensed something else. His thought soon came to be true.
"As you know, our kingdom is nearly defeated and the dark army in practically on our doorstep. We have reason to believe that the enemy is planning on an assault against this castle. I have called you all here to relay as much information as I can to you all and to send you on the jorney that I have planned." The king explained this all to everyone.
"Well what can we do?" Orin asked.
"I don't know. I do know however that a scouting party I had sent out has not reported back and I'd like two of you to go and look for them. They have important information that we need. This information is vital to the start of the journey."the king sounded exhausted as though he knew that the war was already over.
Kyles stretched his arms out over his head. "So what are we talking here, King? Slipping into enemy fortresses, sneaking through dark forests, what is it?"
The king turned to his head to the side in thought. "Actually, right now you are going to follow an unconfirmed rumor. my connections have heard that my scouts have been spotted in the eastern mountains, past Cardac."
"You mean what was Cardac." Revan commented.
if you were to die today, would you be able to tell yourself that you did everything you wanted and everything you could?

Her boots clicking with every step on the marble, Aenda strode into the room and quickly took a seat. There would be no planning going on without her.
Flicking her dark, fiery red hair out of her face, she listened attentively, every once in a while putting her two cents in. She wanted to get this mission over with, and quickly.
Ramza and Aliena walked down a stone path that lead into the woods. After a bit of walking they came upon a lake with the moon over head. The reflection glimered on the surface as the ripples danced.
"It's beautiful."
"When I'm here this is were I go to calm down and think. With everything that has happened, you might enjoy it here.
"Cardac is nothing but a burning crater," Revan continued. "If the scouts were reportedly seen there then it might be a trap. It was a very remote village and if it is a trap then it would be the ideal place to dispose of us. No one would know. To be careful, I would send out a Rider to be the eye in the sky for us."
"The StromRiders?! They're nothing but a bunch of feathered freaks!" Orin exclaimed.
"The StormRiders are one of our most trusted allies in this war and if the situation demands that we ask for aid, then we will ask," the king said."Besides, if you were to ride one of these eagles you could get to Cardac a lot faster than if you were on foot."
"We need as much help as we can get. There's something about you that's not normal, you may be a powerful ally." He smiled at her, "Also, I would like it if you joined us anyway."
Kyles wandered out of the room, trying ot ingore the inssescent arguing going on within.
let them argue about giant birds and what not, he thought, moving in the shadows down the courtyard. I just want the job done. Besides, someone was missing...
He practically ran into them. Kyles jumped backwards into a tree. He quickly scaled it, hiding himself amongst the thick branches.
"... liked it if you joined us anyway." Ramza voice was quiet, barely audible enough for him to hear. Kyles noticed the common girl standing beside him. Kyles studied her, watching her every movement, eye flicker, anything. He smiled, knowing everything about her personality before even talking to her.

Orin left the room. Why would they have to fly. He didn't trust things he didn't have control of. He went back to his room, where he had spent the last few days. He had heard the comotion, the arguements, the fights, and Ramza's little frined, the commoner. The king was further off than he could be. The rumors he spread had got back to the king just as planned. Cardac wasn't a trap, more of an areana to view their skills. Orin started his lopng walk. They wouldn't miss him. Heck, they hardly noticed he was gone most of the time. He wouldn't miss them, and he was better off on his own. They wouldn't have to worry he left them a note. They knew he'd always be there, somewhere between the shadows of yesterday and tommorow. "I'm still one step ahead of you King." He had changed his clothes, into a his suit, leaving his common clothes behind. Death would be a good way to get out of this perdicament. He strode out to into the courtyard, beautiful cherry blossoms fell from the trees, the grass littered with its pink petals. He had hidden the rest of his gear under the tree the night before. He knew he had to leave. His black cloak swirled around him, a sash covering his face, leaving only his eyes exposed. It was quite hot outside so he hurried with his gear, to get on the road early and get into the forest where their was plenty of shade fast. He picked up his walking stick, which he and his father had made, young ceder carved perfectly circular then polished with bee's wax, its wood glistening in the sun. He took his napsack which he had filled with food from the kitchen, and left the palace.
