1.)
A few words
Written over a cup of tea.
They might mean something,
They might not
I won't ask them to.

And in the process lost all the virtues
I spent years asking myself
what needed fixing,
how to hide every imperfection.
But nature never asked the same of itself.
I spent my time hiding
these crooked branches,
while a tree never thought to hide its own.
Rough stones keep eroding,
and wear their scars into character.
Clouds break across the sky,
and somehow, the sky remains beautiful.
Perhaps I spent too long
trying to hide what I thought was flawed
and in the process,
hid everything beautiful in me too.
I only put my signature on big cheques.

Spoiler
I loved how simply you put forward your message here, Hkumar <3
It really landed home for me. The metaphors are very impactful and shine through.
hid everything beautiful in me too.

The thoughts we never get to finish
A beautiful thought arrives
without knocking,
and for a moment
I've found my best poem.
But then life gets noisy...
By the time I return to it
the thought has already left.
Like a visitor who didn't wait
for me to ask their name.
Perhaps my best poems
are the ones I keep forgetting.
They say a goldfish forgets
within a few seconds.
I wonder if it ever had a poem
and forgot it before the ink dried.

If you wanna get in the quote generator, don't try to. Just be you and you'll say something quote worthy eventually.
