and i wonder whether it's from a human
whose job it is to advertise this service
or if it's automated. i don't know
which is worse.
regardless, they are rather resilient.

No problem! I'll try other ways of getting in touch."
and if only i had this persistence
when it comes to learning, to friendships, to personal growth.

flakiness
is something best reserved for
pastry crusts.
i shifted blocks in my google calendar
as if playing a game of tetris
(where nothing is ever cleared)
and set aside this time for you.
and i know things come up, and there is likely a good reason,
but it still
stings
a little.
i am always the one on time.

i do not feel philosophical today.
there is always too much to do
and there are no roses to stop and smell.
