Hi there! I have a few questions for LOREEEE :

-- So I noticed you're using terms like white mage and black mage which are pretty common terms to describe archetypes; are these archetypes something you are wanting to roll with for magic?

-- Speaking of magic, could you describe the magic system? Specifically, like how magic is used by beings like Frost Elves and Demons and Nymphs. Do they use encantations? Do they draw from some kind of inner self or aura or pray? I know you mentioned crystals but I'm assuming that Frost Elves and Nymphs don't have to use crystals, but /can/ they use crystals? Right now I know that Frost Elves fit the White Mage archetype with healing, curing, warding, sealing, etc. but I'm not sure how your world works with magic, so perhaps I'm asking for a bit of clarification and/or direction there? Just so I can wrap my head around it better.

-- I'm also curious about what "have their own dedicated branch on the white magic tree" means. Are there other magic trees and where might these be located? That line stood out to me especially so I'm interested to learn more about that if you're down to explain more!!

-- I know this is an established world of yours so right now I'm wondering like how much lore you're wanting to imbibe to us for this roleplay versus how much we're gonna be winging it XD like, for FUTURE lore questions (basically, how annoying should I be with the amount of questions I have? XD)

-- So Frost Elves tend to stick to themselves which I'm so down for! A few questions to see if this is something you've explored before / how much lore leeway I have for the Frost Elves themselves:

Agoraphobic is a strong word, but honestly, it's the best I've got too XD

Tribes in TFR have an innate tendency to stick to themselves due to the rapid evolution/expansion of species in history. There were so many new faces, new enemies, new two-faced friends, all with their own wild magics and abilities, all vying for territory and resources. This bred chaos, and by extension, the deep-seated fear and mistrust of outsiders we see now.

This especially applies to Frost Elves because they're so isolated, up in the icy mountains. On one hand, they rarely encounter trouble and rarely have to worry about being approached. On the other hand, when they do, they have little experience to draw from and are prone to...overreactions lol. Plus, it's common for elvish leadership to have a bit of a superiority complex, which doesn't help lol.

I mean, there's no existing lore with a great tragedy, but if you would like to create one, go for it!! I'm absolutely willing to give you guys control of your tribes' history, mythologies, legends, lore, etc! My only request would be to give me a heads up if you want to include any *major* stuff involving Sybilius or the Zyreans. Even though Corelia and Leiyt are NPCs, I'll be doing a lot of writing from their perspectives for the first post and such, so that'd be handy to know lol.

If you'd like a royal MC, go for it! In large part, religion is more of a world-building detail. Tribes that aren't pure mortals (basically, sylphs and orcs) rely on maintaining a good relationship with their god because, well...

Widespread faithlessness + non-mortal tribe = risk of corruption and turning into mutants (mentioned in the intro post too, under "The Nameless World")

Even still, most of the time, religion can be a thing that happens in the background. There's iconography here and there, gods are praised through priests and shamans, maybe the people give a little prayer here and there. And if you want to keep it that way, that's cool! But if you'd like to add/make your own rules and commandments, or make it a part of your character's arc/personality, that's another decision I will pass on to you!

(fun fact: this is actually another reason why Leiytning—Zyrean leader—has a terrible reputation. The Zyreans are down to seven people, and he's still a famous heretic who despises his own gods, so even his siblings go "dude, PLEASE stop incentivizing!" XD)


The other questions, about magic systems and TFR lore, I'd like to put/answer in the pad because I feel like that'll be a handy reference! Should have said pad up soon, with answers!

The first post is up! This introduces the general plot, alludes to the primary enemy we'll be facing, and of course establishes the two predominant tribes going after it.
