Welcome to the OOC Thread for the lies we told, the monsters we hid and I hope you discover some good information to help you along the way.
Plot! (Stage 1):
You’ve been hand selected by a deity to represent humanity.
You will be placed in an underground maze, like a common lab rat, and have to make your way to the exit.
Sounds easy enough, right?
That is if you can successfully evade the dozens of monsters throughout the rooms, or answer the necessary riddles in order to advance.
Avoid temptation and greed and just maybe you’ll be alright. Yeah. That sounds about right.
It’ll probably be easy too, since you have your brilliant memory to help you through! Oh wait, nevermind, apparently the guys up top took that away too. Oops, sorry about that. Sucks to suck, I guess. Wait, does that mean you won’t remember our conversations? Sweeeeet.
There’s hundreds of rooms and corridors to explore, plus plenty of shiny treasures to collect along the way. Yadayadayada. You get the gist of it.
So what do you say, adventurer, are you up for the challenge?
Races + Classes!:
For races, just choose a humanoid creature. If you’re familiar with D&D, think about those kinds of races. If you can’t choose, I recommend going with a human or just searching up humanoid creatures/races. You also have complete free reign if you want to create a whole new race, just run it by me first in the OOC.
As for classes, again, think D&D. Classes like rogue, wizard, warlock, fighter, these are all acceptable. If you want to make one up, feel free to and just send a description of it in the OOC.
Gods & Goddesses!:
There are obviously many, many more Gods and Goddesses, but these are the ones who can be used as a Patron.
Tik’el: @avimoon
Harvest & Prosperity.
This God appears as a tall and broad shouldered man with rich, caramel colored skin, shoulder-length ebony hair and dark cocoa brown eyes. He has an ethereal grace to him and almost always has a subtle smirk on his mouth. His skin has a bark-like texture and is rough to the touch. Tik’el wears a crown of wheat, sage grass, and golden vines. His nymph lover, Akine, has woven brightly colored flowers into his hair.
His weapon of choice is a gold plated scythe.
Fukia: @Glitch0Ghost2024
Fortune & Gambling.
This Goddess appears as a short and distinctly feline girl, dressed head to toe in a shimmery gold dress, bedecked with all kinds of precious stones. Her ears are pointed sharply. She wears a diadem with points that stretch out in the appearance of a sun. Her skin is the color of cream and has gemstones embedded in areas like her arms, cheeks, collarbones, etc.n Her eyes change colors from pitch-black, to moonlight silver, to a bright and bold gold.
Her weapon of choice is a deck of cards and a set of dice.
Nikia: @thetaostedwriter
Peace.
This Goddess appears as a silver feathered dove with intelligent blue eyes. She is soft and wispy, and is often portrayed carrying an olive branch in her beak and a copper coin in her claws.
She has no known weapon.
Avalon: @Euphory
Plague.
This Deity appears as an androgynous humanoid figure. They have long, perfectly straight ebony black hair and alabaster white skin. Their eyes are a bright, poison green and they have thin, pale pink lips. They wear a perfectly tailored dark gray robe.
Their weapon of choice is a short adamantine dagger.
Salen: @RangerofIthilien
Creatures.
This God appears as a multitude of monsters and wild creatures, but his preferred form is that of a massive direwolf with dark brown fur and glittering red eyes.
His weapon of choice is any kind of claws or teeth in whatever form he is taking.
Scourl: @syzygy
Sky & Thieves.
This God appears as an elderly human man with light blue skin, much like the color of a clear summer day. His hair is wispy white, tied back in a messy bun, and his eyes change depending on the weather. He wears a loose, pale gray robe and coppery-toned sandals with wings emblazoned on the side.
His weapon of choice is copper knuckles with a little heart on it. (←courtesy of my friend lmao)
Other Information:
This roleplay is heavily based on a D&D campaign I ran about a year ago. I altered a lot to fit a roleplay format, but the roleplay style will still be reminiscent of D&D, minus dice rolling. I’ll be describing the rooms your characters are in, giving details about their whereabouts plus playing a lot of NPCS and monsters, while you take the information I’m giving and have your characters make decisions based on that. If the party ends up splitting on certain paths, I’ll simply do descriptions in spoilers with either character names or tagging users on top.
Characters will die, probably, as that’s simply how this roleplay is going to roll. Your character does something dumb? They might die, or get injured. If your character dies, you’re not out of the count. I’ll PM you some ideas for what you can do
This roleplay is in three stages. The first one is set in the maze, the second in the world (which I will give more information on when it comes up) and the third in an undisclosed setting. New players are welcome to join in the later stages, and old ones are welcome to create new characters if their’s died off.
The Guide!:
(This creature is very important to the plot, I promise.)
Oh! I’ve been giving you all this information and I haven’t even introduced myself yet!
Hi adventurer, I’m Kalos, your ultra, super-duper, awemazing Guide!
I’m here to, well, guide you. (Duh!)
What? You don’t believe me? Well, I’m sorry that my benevolence is too much for your pea-sized brain to comprehend, but I really am here to help.
Fine, would a pinky promise convince you?
It will? Yay! I’m so happy. I know these corridors like the back of my hand.
What do you mean I don’t have hands, of course I have- oh. I guess they’re claws. Close enough?
Besides, I can’t lead you through the entire maze. That’d be Boring, with a capital B. I think the big bosses would have my head if I helped you that much.
I’m not a liar! I am here to help. Just…through unconventional means. I pop up occasionally, make sure you’re on the vaguely right path and offer you clues! Think of me more as…an insurance policy! I’m here to make sure you guys don’t die too early, so that the deities watching get their entertainment. They get entertainment, I get my life back, and you guys get to live a little longer! A great deal, isn’t it?
No? Giving me the cold shoulder now, how rude.
Well, I guess I’ll vanish for now.
See you in a while, crocodile. The maze awaits.
