Shrug, Atlas
When thieving poor and productive rich clash
I wish there was an Atlantis that would call us away
For it is the men who have corrupt the cash
and for nothing to the public
has a businessman's life been conveyed
Prometheus has broken his chains and withdrawn his fire
for the day men take away their vultures
and Atlas, who's shoulders wish to give direly
must simply settle for a shrug
and as everything crumbles, chaos ruptures
A sociology professor teaches that individuality is useless
A journalist writes that action upon feeling is proper and moral
A teacher molds children to the majority's will
A publisher believes all men are evil by nature
A businessman acquired his business under the Equalization of Opportunity Bill
A financer made a fortune through his friends in Washington
A man believes an employer had to give him a job
A lecturer thinks the railroad must provide her with transportation
An economics professor cries anyone can seize a factory and run it
A wife defends her husband by saying "I don't care, It's only the rich they hurt."
A neurotic writes cheap plays showing all businessmen as scoundrels
A housewife elects politicians to control industries, knowing nothing
A lawyers says "Me? I'll find a way to get along under any political system."
A philosophy professor teaches there is no mind, principles, rights, morality, or logic
A humanitarian thinks men of ability must support the incompetent, no matter the cost
Who is John Galt?
