Rooms for what? Did she even want to know? That was such a non-answer. Taverns we’re taverns. And shops were shops. And Keeps were Keeps. It didn’t answer what they were like. “Oh.”

She nodded. "Is he waiting for you there?"

"Best go on, then, unless you've got more to ask me."

“No, I think that’s all.” She shook her head. “Thank you.”

“Thank you.” She nodded to her and took a step backward. “See you… eventually.”

“Yes ma’am.” She dipped her head and turned away, starting towards the tavern.

The tavern was a small, compact two-story building that doubled as an inn, and the sign hanging out front proclaimed it to be "The Wishing Pot." Across from it was a building about the same height with no sign, only a bright green door and a few windows.

Ky opened the door and slipped inside, stopping to the left of the door to orient herself.

The tavern was full of chatter and laughter. Most of the evening patrons had already arrived and were drinking and eating, playing cards, and talking to the women moving from table to table with green ribbons in their hair.

Tomhas was seated at the very back corner of the tavern. He'd removed his cloak and gloves and was nursing a tankard of ale. Beside him sat two people: A man about his age and a woman in her mid forties. The man was a giant with a scruffy red beard and flaming hair that stuck up at all angles. The woman had a sour expression on her face and was dressed in hunter's garb. Her graying hair was done in a single braid down her back.

Ky very hesitantly started towards them, making herself as small as possible though she was taking in the whole scene around them.

Tomhas looked up, as did several other patrons. Most of them ignored her but a few of them watched as she approached Tomhas.

She carefully didn’t make eye contact with any of the other patrons, picking up the speed as she realized she was drawing any attention at all. She approached Tomhas’s table and offered a tiny smile. “Hey.”
