Aleth inclined his head towards him and then limped back to the corner where he’d left his remaining blanket and food. Hopefully this worked out for him. He’d be colder, no doubt. And possibly worse if anyone noticed and decided he shouldn’t have shared. But. Well. It was an investment he was willing to make, risk and all. It was best to make friends with people who may one day be useful to you. And they seemed to be potentially useful.
Especially if they knew this place as well as they probably did.
All he needed was for them to help him get out, then he could get back to his resources and wage his own war against Ash. Provided Ash wasn’t just bluffing and actually intended to let him back upstairs in a day or two after they sweated him a bit.
