"Nope, feel free to check. I'm planning on moving out anyway." She watched the creepy one carefully.

"Then move." Bug crossed its arms, puffing out its tiny chest. "We're busy."
"There's a town about a week from here with water," Jackson said tentatively. "There should be enough for us to share." Bug gave them a scandalized look.

"I may see you there then." She'd been carefully retreating into the rocks as since their conversation started.

(Thinking the thieves attack them now, being right behind your party, since that would kind of force them together)

(Excellent idea)

Shingles took a step forward as she backed away, arms dangling loosely even as his fingers curled into claws.

"I'm not currently entertaining the idea of attacking you, so call him off." She didn't take her eyes off the raggedy character who was approaching her.

"You think you'd win against him?" Bug chuckled darkly, and Jackson gave him an uncomfortable look. "Shingles is our secret weapon, meatbag."
"He is very aggressive," Jackson agreed. "It would be best if you both just...stayed away from each other, please."

"That's what I'd prefer but he seems to have other ideas..." She decided she'd run if that thing decided to attack.

"I'm afraid we can't control him," Roland piped up. "He seems to have a mind all his own."
"Shingles," Jackson said, stepping forward carefully. "Hey buddy, I think she's friendly now, okay? Let's leave her alone." Shingles stopped, but he didn't move back. He stared at Rhys intently.

She moved to take another step back but suddenly a whiz of a quarrel cut past her ear, nearly taking it off. The bolt skittered off the rocks behind her.
"That wasn't me!" She jumped behind a rock. Those were probably the fools she'd been chasing in the first place. Maybe the creepy one would prove his worth and make her job easy, if he didn't attack her first.

Shingles whirled and bounded in the direction the quarrel had come from. Jackson turned as well, and Bug pointed accusingly at Rhys.
"I knew it! She brought others!"
"Stay behind me, sir," Jackson said to Roland, who huffed but limped behind a rock to hide.

She had nothing but her rusted makeshift daggers but that would have to do. She dodged from cover to cover and followed the scarecrow looking beast. She intended to get her things back.

Shingles reached the attackers in seconds. In complete silence he slashed at one of them, arms flailing in a way that would be comical if they didn't have such sharp tips.

The attackers were thoroughly thrown off guard and attacked him. They fought like wolves, one stepping back while another rushed in to take their place.
Rhys reached them and took one out from the side. She'd search the bodies for her supplies later.

(feel free to destroy them all)

(Shingles most certainly will)

Shingles started cutting through them, fingers like razors. He spared no one he got his hands on, and his rags quickly turned red.
Jackson had run after them, and as they rounded the corner they heated their sword. It seemed like Shingles and the new human had things under control, honestly.

Rhys even stopped, letting him destroy every living thing. She moved out of his way so not to be perceived as a threat. Whatever this was, he was insane, and not someone she wanted to be anywhere near.

(who needs weapons when we got this dude)
