How do I make the avatar a gif?!

I see people with gif avatars.
I know it can be done.
Please, teach me your ways, every time I try to upload a gif as my avatar it says “image file type mismatch.”
Is there a secret that I am missing out on???

Well if it's image file type mismatch, then make sure to check what kinda file your gif is in. Is it in .gif?

Hmm...could you upload it as an attachment?

It could be an issue with the gif itself. It does show up as a gif as far as file type is concerned, but the file size is 1.2kb which is really low so it looks like maybe only one frame of the gif ended up being uploaded.

@WrenZorya can you post the gif here? I would be able to help better that way.
