Janus smirked as he lingered in the shadows. Hunters were a common thing for him. And this one looked quite inexperienced; holding his rifle incorrectly, shaky steps and breathing, and so on and so forth. He kept hiding, making tiny noises once in a while to mess with him.

Patton was already regretting thus. He didn't expect this to be as terrifying as it was. He had no idea what he was doing or what the creature he was hunting even looked like. He didn't even know if a rifle was enough to even hurt it at all. But he couldn't turn back now, so he continued to look around

Eventually, Janus couldn’t repress a snicker, and chuckled softly. He slithered around a bit in the shadows, his figure briefly flashing by behind the trees.

Patton backed up a little bit, pointing his rifle in the direction in which he had seen.. something. He didn't know what it was.
