Janus lay bl•eding on the forest floor. There was a wound in his snake tail, where a pair of human legs should be. He'd encountered a group of hunters just now. He sighed. He should've known they'd catch up to him eventually.

"We may have just k•lled an innocent creature!!!"

"Relax, I only sh·t him in the tail ten times. 'sides, you gotta admit those things are creepy as ."

"No, that was a harmless animal! And it was half human! Robert, you like mythical creatures, right? What if that was a naga? Wouldn't you want to keep it alive to study its magical qualities?"

"...Patton, even I'm smart enough to know that thing needed to be exterminated. Mythical naga or not."

At this point, Patton was grasping at straws, and found no use in arguing. Without another word, he turned away from the group and went to the wounded creature, much to the protests of the other group members.

Janus's head weakly shot up upon seeing someone approach. One of the hunters. Fear filled his veins, as he thought why he had come back- to finish the job. He backed away (not very well, considering he was injured), hissing and glaring at the hunter.

Janus blinked, the hissing quieting.

"...Okay..?"

He'd never had a human be this nice to him before. It was confusing.

"J..Janusss..."

Janus exposed his injury to Patton, so it could be properly treated.

"We could go to my home..?"

Janus had a tiny cottage in the middle of the woods. He got up, and tried to start slithering there, but god, it hurt...

Patton noticed the pain Janus was in, and picked him up, bridal style.

"You should probably take a load off your- w-wait, you're so light...!"

Patton looked shocked- scared, almost- at the weight of the naga.

Janus blinked and blushed slightly.

"Uh... yeah..?"

Janus shrugged.

"Maybe it's just light? I dunno, I've never been carried before."
