Remy frowned, perching on the tree and watching over him from afar.

Virgil kept waking up from horrible nightmares that could make him sleep at all even if he tries to go back to sleep.

Eventually, Remy just flew up to the other’s window. He wanted to comfort Virgil.

Virgil woke up, staring at the ceiling in his room. Thinking of tomorrow, he stares out his window to see the bird that followed him home from his work.

Remy was looking around him. This world was so different from the one he’d come from...

Virgil opens his window, and the wind blows into his face as he sighs. Staring at the bird near his window, hoping his doesn’t have to see people tomorrow.

Remy looked up at Virgil, a bit startled. He tilted his head.

Virgil tried to reach out to touch the bird without falling out of the window

Remy chirped quietly and perched onto Virgil’s finger.

Virgil smiles as the bird lands on his finger, he stared at it before trying to fall asleep on the window

Remy frowned and butted Virgil with his little head, as if trying to tell him, ‘Don’t fall asleep against the window, go back to bed!’

Virgil just kept sleeping on against the window

Remy huffed. He went back into his humanoid form and laid Virgil down in bed.

Virgil grabbed Remy arm without knowing it because he was sleeping.

Remy blushed slightly, looking down at Virgil. He was confused and nervous. What if he woke up again? Then he’d think he was insane and call the police or something... he sighed and turned back into a bird.
