The king was clenching his hair, crown falling to the floor. He was breathing heavily, crying a bit, laughing maniacally every 30 seconds or so. He was too unstable, intrusive thoughts clouding his mind. Evil- monster- better off without him- the words played in his head. He was loosing it. Loosing himself. He split in two.

Everyone was watching what was happening, shock, fear, and guilt on their faces. There was a flash of light then suddenly everything was different. There were 2 new sides, both scared and confused. Nobody really knew who they were or what to do with them.

The one with a red sash carefully tried to stand, and was a bit wobbly. He looked around, tilting his head at the sight of everyone else.

The one with the green sash tried to stand and fell. He tried again and just barely managed ro not fall down. He had no idea what was happening, who he was, where he was, or why he felt so empty

He glanced at the boy who looked similar to him.

"Are you my twin..?"

"I.. i dont know.. i guess so...."

When he looked at the boy in the red sash, he didnt feel empty. He felt complete. Like the other half of him was there. Standing right there in front of him.

(But not in a shippy way-)

Patton seemed to be thinking of names.

"Romulus... Rome, Ulus... Roman, Remus..."

The boy in red felt the same. He smiled at his twin.

"You seem fun!"

Remus. The boy in the green sash liked that name. So he decided that it was his name. Ig anyone tried to say it was their name he would remove their spine and beat them with it

The red boy perked at the name Roman. He liked that, it made him feel happy. Like it was his identity. Roman. Patton smiled at that.

"You like your names, kiddos?"

"Yeah"

He felt weird. He liked it. It made him smile. He didnt know he could smile.

Roman smiled as well.

Patton sighed. Would he have to separate Roman and Remus? He hoped he wouldn't, the twins looked so happy together...
