2020 NaPo Contests & Badges Read below to find out how to earn different badges for participating in NaPo this April! If you complete one of the challenges please make a post below with the link to your thread (&/or poems & comments) and the name of the badge you're claiming . circle Hearty Half-Way Sometimes you don't have time to do 30 poems for NaPo. If you complete at least 15 poems over April and post them in your NaPo thread, you've won the "Hearty Half-Way" badge for your dedication! Note that you can't get this one and the completion one - just one or the other. Leave a link to your thread below if you've earned this badge. circle NaPo Completion Write 30 poems in April and post in your NaPo thread. You don't need to post all the links to the poems here, the only stipulation is there must be at least 30 in your thread by the end of the month. Poems can be posted anytime during April and can be any length or form to complete this challenge circle Poem A Day This is the traditional NaPo challenge! Write at least 1 poem every day of April with the correct time-stamps in your NaPo thread. (There is some leniency if you get a day or two off, but the majority should be done on the day in question and there should be at least 30 total at the end - feel free to message one of the Poetry Mods if you are unsure.) circle Garden Challenge NaPo is mostly an individual effort, but the great thing about YWS is that we get to pursue these efforts as a community! This challenge is about encouraging your fellow writers! So spread some joy and encouragement by completing this challenge. To claim the Garden Challenge Badge comment 30 times in the NaPo threads (other than your own), you must comment in at least 5 different threads and collect the links below. Each comment should be unique and be written in the month of April. circle Poetry Jam Master For this challenge, attend (or run) at least 5 different Poetry Jams or Workshops during the month of April. To count for "attendance" you need to be in the jam for at least 20 minutes and contribute to the jam discussion. Provide the links or the date you attended below to make sure you can claim your badge! Also if the times of the jams that the moderators run don't work for your schedule, feel free to run your own and get others on the site to attend! If you count a jam that you're running for this contest, it should be up for at least 30 minutes. And consider subscribing to the Poetry Jam Club so that you don't miss any of the jams available! circle April Madness Champion If you make it to the final round of April Madness this year, you'll get your own limited edition April Madness Champion badge! Watch the competition on the April Madness Thread to get the latest information. circle Speak Your Mind To claim the participation badge for this challenge, post a recording of yourself reading one of your NaPo poems in the Speak Your Mind thread . Take the time to listen to others' as well and engage in some spoken word! Note: If you don't post below, you may not be awarded your badge because there are a lot of threads. Poetry must be written in April. Try to claim your badges by May 7. if you use roman numerals to number your poetry, you especially need to make sure to comment in this thread if you make it to 30, since there are some moderators alliyah who are illiterate in roman numerals
