Phoenix giggle, "Well that was a dramatic start to a relationship." She looked over at the kids to see what they were doing, when she saw they were playing happily she turned back to Liberty and Nick. "The start to our relationship was rather normal in my opinion." She shrugs.

Richard nods and folds his arms. "It all started in college, she was a freshman and I was senior. When she got there I had to show her around, and from there we became friends."

Phoenix snickered. "But me being well me I always got myself into all sorts of trouble, so Richard was always here to get me out." She patted his leg. "It all kind of turned into a relationship when we began to study together, we both or police man so he helped me out with my work, and from there things kind of moved forward, and the funny part is that we've been working together ever since." She ended the story with a smile.

"Mama wana go on wyour lap?" Susan asked patting Phoenix's leg.

Phoenix picked Susan up and put her on her lap and said. "So as you can see it isn't as dramatic as your story."

Richard laughed. "Well everything became dramatic when Susan came along." He roughed said person's hair. Who began to complain in the background.

Liberty offered her friend and her husband some cookies. "Take some. They're my grandma's original recipe." she offered.

Both Richard and Phoenix took some of the cookies, Susan even managed to grab another one a chubby smile making it's way onto her face as she nibbled at the cookie.

"This is really good." Phoenix complemented as she finished hers off.

Richard nodded along. "I think I might have to borrow the recipe."

Phoenix looked down at Susan who was still sitting on her lap. "Where is Blake?"

"I dwont wknow. He went owff swome where." Susan said through mouths of cookie.

"He probably went to go to the bathroom." Nick told Susan. "He should be back soon."

Liberty grinned at Richard. "Sure thing. I'll text Phoenix the recipe sometime and you can use it." she winked.

Susan pouted. "His a wuough pwayer."

Phoenix frowned. "I'm sure his not that bad, beside he is a little boy, her likes to play a little rough." She smoothed Susan's hair out.

Richard said his thanks and sat back on the couch not sure what to talk about.

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.
