Web Of Lies

You are a Junior at The Mountain School Of the Special Arts. But there is more to this school than preppy girl in shiny lip gloss, and chasing guys, or boys tossing footballs on the lawn in the morning, fawning of the cheerleaders. There is something odd going on. Something the teachers cannot speak of without falling into a fit of seizures. Something only few people at the school can even think about. Something that could ruin all of Mountain Home, Minnesota. Something dark and twisted. A group of students, and few teachers, and outsiders team up to help.

Persefoni Black


Persefoni walks down the hall of her new school, eyeing all of the bystanders.
Some stare at her in awe, some stare like she is a freak.

Ugh. Why did Grandpa send me here?? This place is freaky. She thinks as she walks down the hall, and into her first period.

Trig. She groans, and looks over at the seats, which are all taken except for the one next to a preppy looking girl.

Persefoni adjusts her black crop top, and pulls on the waist of her tight jeans, and takes the seat.

The girl turns and eyes Persefoni with a look of pure hate, but talks to her anyway. "Hi, I am Mallory." Mallory smiles falsely.

"Persefoni." She smiles just as falsely at her.

"Pretty." She says just as the teacher walks in, cutting off the rest of her words.

"Hello class, I am Mister Rhodes. I am only saying this because he have a new student. Miss Black, please walk to the front of the room." Her teacher's voice is rough like he smokes.

"UGh. Mister Rhodes. Lay off. You can tell she dont want to be up there." Mallory says, looking like she wants to jump right through Mister Rhodes.

"Miss Smart, shush. I am going to present her to the class." He eyes her hard.

Mallory rolls her eyes, and looks over at Persefoni. "But-"

He cuts her off again. "Come tell the class what you like, where your from, and some stuff about yourself."

She gets up slowly, and walks to the front of the class. "UHh...my name is Persefoni Black. I love parties. I hate people who smell bad." They were all lies but no one knew that.

After class, Mallory insists that she eats lunch with them, so Persefoni made a mental note to look for Mallory at lunch.

Alex walks down the hallway. The bell went off. "Ugh late for my first class." She thinks aloud.

Rosaria

I walk into trig with a sigh. I hate this class first period. Mister Rhodes does not help one bit. Fucking pervert. I think back to the time he was caught with Savana's suggestive pictures saved on his phone. If she was showing any more skin, he would've been thrown out, but her 15 year old self was smart enough not to do that. I take my seat in the back corner, throwing a piece of gum in my mouth, making sure to make an audible pop just as he's walking in.
"Hey, that's the new girl you heard was coming here, right?" Savana whispers in my ear. I turn my head to the side slightly, brushing my hair out of my face nonchalantly. I see the girl Savana's talking about. If my sources are correct her name is Persephone or something. I can't be bothered to remember.
I see Mallory talking to her, and look at the girls making a scoffing noise and a fake gag, turning my face to hide my slight laughter. Our little group gets the teachers attention, and he snaps at us. Telling us to shut up, making us laugh harder. He just rolls his eyes, knowing he won't get anywhere with us, and Abbi makes a comment only we should be able to hear in theory, but she knows he can hear it,
"Greasy Perv" and we laugh harder.
"Girls! Abigail! Office!" We stop our laughter and put on a sad face to Abi and she blows us a kiss as she walks out. That makes what, 20th trig class she's gotten kicked out of. The admins haven't heard about the pictures we found on his phone, so he knows he can't touch us without getting himself in major trouble.
"Ahem. Now that that's settled let's get started. Hello class, I am Mister Rhodes. I am only saying this because we have a new student. Miss Black, please come to the front of the room."
Mallory tells him off, and Adam coughs fakely, making sure the word skank can be made out through it. Adam is Savanas boyfriend, and like hell mister Rhodes would screw with him, so he just ignores the comment.
The girl, Persefoni, says she likes partying, but it's clearly not completely true. A scheme comes to my head. I'll save her from social rejection with Mallory, and invite her to my next party. I pull out my phone typing out my plans to the girls, and a wicked grin comes to my face.
"Miss Timins. Phone away." I sigh, sending my message, putting my phone, now having not paid attention to the first 10 minutes of class.
After that hellhole is done I push my books into my bag, and throw it to Adam.
"Carry it." He scoffs and grabs it. Adams a great guy, but a complete cinnamon roll. Doesn't know how to say no to anything, so me and the girls use him as our personal coat hanger. He doesn't care, so why should we. I run over to the new girl, my high heeled boots clicking on the floor.
"Hey. I'm Aria. I heard you like parties, sooo I was thinking I'll throw one to celebrate you moving here. Kay? Good! What do you have next period?"
"Oh uh.. Chem"
"Perfect! Me too! Miss Evans doesn't care what we do, so I'll talk to you about the details then!" My overly perky voice is dripping with sugar, a slight venom hidden inside it. I hope she can tell I'm not taking no for an answer.
I wave bye and blow her a kiss and scurry off to where Adam is waiting down the hall with my stuff.

Presefoni Black

"Uhh...Okay." I say, eyeing the girl, Aria i think her name is. "I guess."

I watch her lope off, her boyfriend, i am guessing eyeing me.

Is he carrying her stuff?? Oh my god. That is...wow. Just wow. I roll my eyes, and turn back around and head to my locker, to get my stuff for Chem.

"Hi." A voice says from behind me, making me jump. "Sorry, Didnt mean to scare you."

I turn and look at the owner of the voice. "Whoa. Its fine. I just got alittle jumpy."

"I am Kayden. Kayden Williams." The boy smiles, his brown eyes smiling, along with his full lips.

"Persefoni Black." I smiles back, looking at his longish brown hair. "Umm...nice to meet you."

"Yep. What class do you have next?" He runs a hand through his hair.

"Chem. With Miss Evans. You?" I close my locker softly as I grab my Chem books, and walk in the direction of Chem.

"Same. You could sit by me." He looks nervous, with a slight blush creepin up his face.

"Okay." I say, smiling, as we walk in the classroom.

I see Aria, and her boyfriend in the back.

She lifts an arm and beckons me to sit with her. "C'mon."

Then, she sees who is standing next to me. "OH."

I walk to the empty seat by her, and sit down, looking at her boyfriend, who watches me, and a blush covers my face.

Kayden takes the seat in front of mine and turns to talk to me. "So...are you coming to the party?"

I look at Aria. "Party?"

Rosaria

I sit down in Chem, waving over Persefoni. Kayden is next to her. Fucking hell. She sits down beside me, and he sits across from her.
"So are you coming to the party?"
She looks over at me asking, "Party?" And I smile.
"Yeah, I was telling you before chem. I'm gonna have a party to welcome you! I'll get you anything you want." The glint in my eye should hopefully clarify what I mean. "Kayden love, make sure you get the word out. My place, as usual. After the next football game."
He frustratedly nods, and I smile sweetly, knowing he's not allowed to go anywhere after games, unless he has a really good reason.
"So, Persefoni, this is Adam. Savanas boyfriend. She isn't in chem, but you'll meet her at some point. "
He smiles and waves hello, and before he can say anything I keep talking, "that girl that got kicked out of first period, yeah, that's Abi. Don't expect her to stay in any trig classes, she hates Mr Rhodes, but he wouldn't fail her." I smirk, giving her a small wink.
"What? Why?" She says confused.
"Be careful, Mr Rhodes is a total perv." Savana turns from her spot where she was talking to a few girls, to us.
"Happy to see you actually join the conversation Sav." I laugh slightly, miss Evans clearing her throat to begin so I be quiet. She'll kick us out no hesitation so I don't mess with it.
After class I make sure Persefoni stays near me, and that Kayden screws off somewhere.
"Kay is a total skeeve. I'd be careful." I get close to her and whisper, "rumor is he's baby daddy to at least 5 girls in town. But hey, just a rumor, don't shoot the messenger." I put my hands up in a surrender motion laughing. She laughs, but it's fakely. I don't blame her, even if the rumor isn't true, no harm in warning her.
"By the way. This school is in most ways your typical high school, except some stuff goes on. I won't say what, but if something unusual happens, just be on guard." I whisper that part and then make an excuse to run off to one of my girl friends, fearing I've said too much.

Persefoni

Kayden? Baby dady? I think as I walk to my first elective of the day.

Theater.

I walk in to see Kayden and a few other people sitting in some shiny polished chairs.

"OH. Look, fresh meat, Kayden." One of the guys yells, looking me up and down.

And by the way he is looking at me, I feel like he is mentally undressing me, so I wrap my arms around myself, and walk away from them.

Then, a hand wraps around my forearm. "Hey, whats up with you?"

I turn around to face Kayden. "Let me go." I growl.

"What the fuck is your problem, Persefoni?" He growls, but lets go of my arm. "Was it Aria?"

"What?" I put a hand on my hips. "What about her?"

"That bitch has been feeding everyone lies. What was it this time?" He runs a hand through his hair.

"Nothing." I lie, and turn to walk away.

"Persefoni!" A voice yells out.

I look around, but i dont see anyone. Not a soul.

"Umm...Whos there?" I holler.

No reply. Weird.

The bell ring, and I hop in a seat, but I cannot stop thinking about what Aria said, and the strange voice.

Alex

I sit down in my seat, two minutes late. God, I hope the teacher dosen´t notice. I slump down, trying to hide in my seat. Looking around, I see Presefoni and Rosaria. I don´t dare to wave. Outcasts never say anything. She sits up a little straighter, hoping to get out of the outcast postion. The girl next to her looks her up and down. She takes out a sticky note and scribbles something down and then hands her the note. It says Hi I´m Lillian. Who are you?. Mr. Rhodes looks at me. ¨Detention, Miss Manista.¨ he says.
Alex rolls her eyes and scribbles something back. God I hate life. I´m Alex, btw Handing back the note, Mr. Rhodes gives her another detention. Again, rolls her eyes, and then mouths to Lillian, Meet me in the bathrooms after lunch then turns her attention to the teacher.

Rosaria

Last period. Thank God. I'm in my seat, and I'm scribbling on my book, and when I look up and see Persefoni walking it with Kayden. I roll my eyes, and put on my sweet face when she sits by me.
"Kay, looking for new skin? Since you can't keep a girl here." I laugh and look over to Abi laughing with me. I hear him mutter 'bitch' under his breath making us laugh even harder. I tap the seat beside me and he sits down with a frustrated sigh. He won't admit it but we're convinced he likes Abi, so he puts up with us.
I playfully hit his shoulder, purposefully trying to act flirty.

The bell finally rang. I quickly walked out of class and to my locker. Lillian had invited me to sit with her at lunch tomorrow. I told her sure, but I knew that I was going to end up by myself again. Some one shut my locker.
"Hey," this boy said, "I'm Zac."
"And I'm not interested. Bye." I snapped.
He jumped in front of me. "Want me to carry your stuff?"
I decided to use him to my advantage. "Sure why not."
He must have been a geek. A cute one at that. Any girl might date him. Well, except me.
"Did you move here?"
"Yeah. I'm glad I never got introduced to class. No one knows me."
"Nice to meet you. Oh that's my mom. Gotta go."
I gave him a little wave. Now, for peace and quiet.

Persefoni

I sit in class, and look at the scene before me go out.

Kayden sits down on the other side of Aria, and every now and then, he will look around her at me.

I look away, and then start to talk with Aria. "Aria, what did you mean earlier when you said that about odd things happening at this school?"

She looks at me then away.

"Class, pay attention to the screen." Mister Green, the drama teaches says.

After twenty minutes of boring movies, The bell rings and I get up and walk to my car.

On the way out, a hand grabs my arm.

I turn to look at it is Mister Rhodes. "Hello." He says, looking down my cleavage.

"Uhh...hi." I try to pull back, but he clamps harder. "Let me go!"

"Why?" He grins evily.

"Rhodes!" Aria yells.

Rosaria

I try to fast walk over to Persefoni, after staying late at school for cheer practice, and seeing she's still here. As I'm half way too her I see a familiar back. Fuck.
"Rhodes!" I call out as he grabs her arm. I run over, grab his shirt pulling him back, he may be plump, but years of dance and gymnastics means I'm not weak.
"Get. The fuck. Away. From her." He let's out a small yelp and I look down making sure my phone recorded me running over here.
He runs, knowing he doesn't want to mess with me, and Persefoni let's out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you", she pants out "I didn't know what would've happened."
"I told you Rhodes is a pervert, didn't think he was a rapist as well, but I definitely don't put it past him. Thankfully I had my phone out so it was easy to just turn on the camera, so I got all that don't worry. If you want the vid just ask me and I'll send it to you. You can choose what to do with it from there." I turn my head over my shoulder and I see Mr. Erill walking over to his car, I smile at him and he notices me and waves.
"He's the cheer coach. He also teaches history."
I cough into my hand to mask the small blush that came to my face, until I'm sure it's gone.
"Give me your phone." She hands it to me and I put my number into it giving my self the name "Ari<3" and handing it back to her "I'll answer anytime, so if you need anything just call. And I mean anything." With a small smirk I wave and stroll over to my car hopping in.

Kayden

"Bro, new girl is pretty hot." Jon is saying to me and Astin as we walk to our cars.

"Yeah, just not as much as Aria, though." Astin says, shoving Jon around.

Then, my phone dings with a message.

I look down and it is a message from Aria. Rhodes has another target locked in is sights, just like you. There is a video clip attached to it, so I press play.

Rhodes stands at the parking lot, and he is grabbing someone's arm. "Let me go."

Persefoni. "Hey!" Aria's voice rings out.

At that point, Jon and Astin are zoned out, until Jon walks over to me. "Are you watching more porn, Kay?"

"Bug off. No." I growl at him.

"Hey, bro!" A voice yells from accross the lot. Adam. "What was it that I hear about you and the new girl?"

"Its nothing." I walk past him.

Then, I see her. She is standing my a jeep, and looking right at me.

Her blonde hair is cascading around her face, her full lips in a pout. She looks alittle scared.

I smile, and wink at her, then go get in my car and drive home, still thinking about her, and then about Abbi.

I like them both. Who do i pick? What if i can get another guy with one of them so I can have the other?

Alex

I watch Rhodes every move, knowing he is going to do something. By the end of the day, I know everyone's name. Lillian is another one of those preppy, popular girls. I'm reconsidering sitting with her. Zac is a stalker, but I'm not into boys. I like girls. I like Persefoni. But I'll never say anything. Well, unless I get to know her.
"Hey." It's Zac.
"Hi."
"Wanna sit by me at lunch?"
"I already have a invitation to sit with someone. Sorry."
"It's ok. You have algebra next, right?"
"Yeah. I have it with you right?"
"Yup. C'mon. let's go."
We walked down the hall, brushing past people. Finally we got to class. Sitting down in the back, we both hide our phones behind our books and didn't pay attention. Lillian waved, and I smiled. Erica and a couple of her friends were whispering. Lillian joined them. They giggled and looked at me. Jemma kicked this kid out of his seat, and waved me over. Lillian, Jemma, Erica, and the rest of us talked through the whole class. We got detention. Oh well. At least I made some friends. But I felt bad for Zac. He didn't talk to me at all. Well, maybe by sitting by Lillian could get me closer to Persefoni.

Rosaria

I want the party to be great. I look on my Facebook, finding a few outcasts and nerds I feel could join, just to make things more interesting. Dilian Rellis, and according to Facebook there's a new girl, I pull up her profile, and hmm, she's pretty cute. Alexandria Manista. To save myself time I make a big group chat starting with the message,
'Hey guys! If you don't know me, I'm Aria. Student council member(the coolest one of course) and I just figured I'd invite everyone to the party I'm throwing after the next football game. My address is 26 Salain lane. If you have any trouble I can help everyone find it. I know you must all be so confused why I'm inviting all of you, but to celebrate the beginning of the new year, I want to try to include everyone I can! See you all here *kissy face*' I roll my eyes at myself, it could sound so cringey to someone who doesn't know me, but I want to be friendly, to make the right impression with everyone. Scheming, if all these new people come it could make this sooo interesting.
