PeijiRestoration told me about this and so I’m trying it!

I enter the classroom
More tired than before.
I pull out my binder
Paper, pencil, and more.

iPad, sketchbook, I’m all set
for once again another period.
A name called, my head raised
My brain still daydreaming away.

Time passes by
And I try
To keep my self awake

More drawing
sketching
paper strewn
And a last bell with the sound of an earthquake.

The sound of a 3:02 bell rings

Running, dashing, yelling

Desperate to get home

Across the quad

I take the beaten path

That I’ve taken a hundred times before

Friends, foes

The people I know

I wave as I open the door

Finally, a place

I can discover myself

All over again

I stage I’ll remember

like a long lost friend

Script and pencil in hand

I shout

I speak

I sing

I cry

But it’s

all

just

acting

Ahhhhhhhhhh I really love this! Theatre really is a magical place where you can be who you want. I know it certainly helped and continues to help me find who I am, not to mention all the friends and memories you make along the way. Here's to hoping we can both continue to do what we love!

Staring at cough drops and tea at midnight

Constant pounding headaches and sore throats that stayed since dawn

Tomorrow is another day.

That’s all I think as the pain consumes me whole

My body quaking

My mind trying to keep me from drowning in sorrow

I think of family

Friends

Teachers

Neighbors

Tomorrow is another day.

I smile as I think of these words until the sandman carries me away.

Not a person dares to speak

Shelves full of literature

Every book is unique

I could fight a dragon

I could save the day

I can be what I want to be

Read paves the way

It’s a place where I can go

I can find sanctuary

Someday you should go there

Come down to the library

Running hard, fast and strong

The adrenaline pulsating throughout me

I can feel the wind wrap around my body

My aching muscles pushing on

Mud flinging up onto my legs

Sweat running down my forehead

Tears streaking across my face

Water cascading through my throat

A velvety rose ribbon

Tied right across the track

Its gentle touch on my chest

Another race was won.
