But who knows, maybe I'll just go with a gut feeling this year like I did last year. (Last year I got to 25k words before I lost my muse, and 35k before I lost the file. Dangit.) Maybe. NaNo coming up always freaks me out, though.
Good luck to all first-time NaNo-ers! It's much harder than it looks, you know; you nearly need to write two thousand words a day, and with school going on and everything, that can be horridly stressful. Normally I try to write at night and I just lose my sleep - I wrote five thousand words on 1 November last year, but I don't think I'll look to surpass that. Five thousand for the first day seems good for setting down the general story and plot and everything else, but it gave me a headache, so...
