THE BUDDY SYSTEM IS BACK After a hiatus of leadership, the Buddy System is back and eager to nurture new members as before, but we need your help. Yes, you - the user who's been on YWS for a while, knows the site well, and wants to make a difference here! Being a mentor is an important job and not one to take lightly, but when you join us you become part of an elite team that's dedicated to helping new members, you make new friends aaaand you earn cool badges. BUT WHAT IS A MENTOR? A mentor is someone who shows the new people around the site and helps them feel welcomed and wanted. The bigger YWS gets, the more important it is to have such a role as there are lots of friendship groups already in place and sometimes it's hard for a new member to break into an already established group. That's where you come in. As a mentor, you'll be their guide and friend as they learn their way around both the technical side of the site and the community within. If you'd like to become a mentor, reply below! DID I MENTION BADGES? Badges! They're a work in progress, and the amazing @Rydia is currently working on making them a reality, but they will be here. And you mentors will have them for your participation in helping new members feel at home here.
