I'll join if another guy does. It'll be awkward if my character just does it along with a large number of girls. But keep that martial eagle for me please.
Hey, guys! Wow, I didn't expect this to get so much interest! I'll try to answer everyones questions.
First of all, would people prefer that the required posting be about once a week or twice a week?
@Noelle hey, thanks for your interest! I'll reserve Panda Bear for you. A panda bear is an awesome choice. I don't mind at all.
@Stegosaurus Thanks for joining! I've accepted your character and reserved Lion for you.
@Sunshine1113 Hey, Sunny! I'm pretty new to storybooks too so this will be an adventure for the both of us. Would you like me to reserve Wolf for you?
@TheClockworkConjurer I've changed the title to DT. And thanks for changing the coding. I appreciate it.
@TheSilverFox I'm glad you like it. If you end up getting some free time later on and would like to join after the storybook has started, we can probably figure something out.
@Wolfie36 Awesome, Wolfie! I'll reserve a Thomson's Gazelle for you.

Yep, I did. Your name and your Eagle have been placed on the main storybook post under "claimed animals".
Edit: I've also put the list of claimed animals in the first post of the DT for easy access.

I was also thinking the storybook would start either during the field trip or just when the characters start to have symptoms, which each person can choose at what point they would like to start. Or were you guys thinking it should start later, after they already know they can morph into animals?

Definitely not the last one, as that will not give time for the feelings of the characters towards each other, as well has how they get to know each other, or how they bond together to work as a tea, or character development. I'd prefer the first, as then we can see how the characters initially feel towards each other.

I was definitely not leaning towards the last one either, as I think it's really fun to show what happens to them, but I just wanted to make sure I was on the same page as everyone else.

I can do once a week posting and I really think we should start with the field trip. It kind of makes more sense, we could build relationships better and kind of have a stronger ground to stand on background history wise to what happened to them
I'm good either way, really... But I think it makes sense to start at the field trip. Maybe there should be a couple posts to get to know the characters and see what happens at the lab before they start to get symptoms.
@Sunshine1113 Okay, I'll reserve the Timber Wolf for you. I'll have the requirement be once a week. Thanks for your input.

I like the whole idea with them starting with the field trip. Once we get rolling, we can see more of the everyone's characters motions and actions towards whatever happens

Question: this is loosely based off of Animorphs so are we going to adopt things from the series at all other than the morphing aspect?
Ex: aliens, androids, how they morph, spaceships. Z-Space...
Or are we just going to break away from that and just see where it goes?
Also just going to put it out there that the entire series is available online in PDF form if you haven't read the series/need a refresher or want to take ideas from it at all.
Good question. I actually haven't read the whole series myself, but I am familiar with it. I wasn't thinking we would take much from the series, but I'm happy to hear others thoughts. I figured we'd take the idea of people morphing into animals and make it our own. But who knows, if others would like to take stuff from the Animorph books, I'm all ears.

I've read a few of those books too. As to that, i don't think taking that stuff is a good idea, what with the alien invasion stuff and all. However, I think that we should adopt the thoughtspeak that the animorphs had, with the same rules that they had in the books. That way our characters would more easily communicate.
We could adopt the alien aspect with the whole alien tech made the kids Animorphs thing. Maybe some of those scientists were aliens? Trying to make an army of super soldiers that can morph?
Or maybe humans are trying to recreate the alien tech? Maybe they stole it?
