Return to The Headquarters

Creator: Teddybear
Roleplay: The Headquarters
Nickname:

Sit down. I'm Commander Furia, head of HQ. If you get this job, you'll take orders from me. Understood?

Your Response: yes m'am

Hmm. Closer to the microphone. State your name for the record.

Your Name: Phillip Mortus

Okay. First mistake of this job. We don't use our actual names here. Give me an alias.

Your Alias: Art

Really? That's the best you can come up with? No, no, we're moving forward. What makes you qualified for this job? I'm a shapeshifter and an expert in computer technology

Your Abilities: I can change my physical form, to some limitations, and I am otherwise trained in stealth, acting, and am good with computers. I have experience in both technical aspects of recognizance and with fieldwork as a stealth agent.
Strengths: I can take on any persona I am given. I'm at my strongest when under deep cover
Weaknesses: I don't do direct combat.

Hmm. Okay, so what are you planning on wearing to the battlefield? Nothing ridiculous. I'm not going to waste my resources on a flashy suit just for you to die on the first mission.

Your Appearance: You will never see my real appearance. For this mission I will wear the skin appearance of a young white man, roughly in his mid-twenties with dark hair, five foot eight, and whatever costuming is most appropriate for the field. At base, I will wear my personal, fairly gothic wardrobe as you can see I am wearing now unless that will be a problem.

We'll smooth out the details later. Good enough. Now to the nitty gritty. I need to know that you'll be compatible with the other members. I also need to know that you know yourself enough to reveal all aspects of your personality, even the not so good.

Your Personality: I am known to be straightforward and hesitant, thoughtful. I can work quickly when there is a clear plan that I have been given time to go over beforehand but under pressure, if the plan needs to change, I need to be given instructions. I'm very good at what I do, I just get overwhelmed.
Strengths: When under a persona, I am visibly good under pressure, smooth, thoughtful, very dating profile. I'm good at what I do with or without the persona, which is making my way in and out of people's electronics. I do work well under pressure, however, in situations where I have to act and lie my way in or out of a situation.
Weaknesses: I can crack under pressure if I don't have a strong supporting team who can instruct me as their tool to do my work. My mind just goes blank and I'm bad at making stuff up that isn't just social stuff on the spot.

We'll learn soon enough if what you said is the truth. Now. Tell me about your past. This is vital information, so try not to leave out details. Anything incriminating especially. I need to know if I have to do more paperwork to get you hired.

Your Age: Twenty-five
Your Gender & Pronouns: Male, he/him
Your History: I had a fairly uneventful childhood, just got really into computers, supportive but, like, a-normal-amount-of-messed-up family and all. I got out of the house around the time I learned to shapeshift and I realized pretty quick that I got better responses from people when I pretended to be my brother. We lived halfway across the country from each other at that point and he had no idea I could do what I can. He was a successful, fairly rich, handsome, just generally better off than me. I got in the habit of imitating him in a social capacity with, like, one-night stands, people I would never see again. I thought it was harmless. Turns out he was going to pay me a surprise visit and I had gotten into some trouble with some pretty dangerous people around the same time. Me, as him, had accidentally slept with the wrong person's girlfriend, and long story short my brother was mistaken for me, or the other way around I suppose, and he was....he was found dead the next morning. Bled out. He was supporting my sister's and mother so they're now, well, screwed, because of me.
Personal Secret: I ruined the lives of most members of my immediate family and am responsible for my Brother's death.
Personal Wish: To be able to give my family the support they lost because of me.

I really did not need to know your hopes and aspirations, but thank you for that knowledge. Before we leave, do you have any questions for us? Just a few questions about who I will be working with.

Other: I hope I'm seriously considered for this position. Thank you for your time.
