Return to The Headquarters

Creator: Omni
Roleplay: The Headquarters
Nickname: Syndra Illoise

Sit down. I'm Commander Furia, head of HQ. If you get this job, you'll take orders from me. Understood?

Your Response: I don't even know who you are.

Hmm. Closer to the microphone. State your name for the record.

Your Name: Syndra Illoise.

Okay. First mistake of this job. We don't use our actual names here. Give me an alias.

Your Alias: Ugh, fine. Lightspin

Really? That's the best you can come up with? No, no, we're moving forward. What makes you qualified for this job?

Your Abilities: I usually wear headphones. They keep in my light. That way, I can use my light by chewing it like bubblegum. I throw it, it explodes. Pretty neat, huh? I take off my headphones, and my light kinda pours everywhere, but it hurts people. I don't know what else you want me to say.
Strengths: Well, I'm a pretty good aim. Also, liquified light kinda hurts. The light also has hardened my skin, so I'm tough to scratch.
Weaknesses: Uh, well, the light are my innards. So, take off my headphones, and my innards start turning into outards. It's not fun, and not something I can work with for long.

Hmm. Okay, so what are you planning on wearing to the battlefield? Nothing ridiculous. I'm not going to waste my resources on a flashy suit just for you to die on the first mission.

Your Appearance: I have rollerskates. I can skate on my own light. I like wearing a leather vest with a black tee with something neon on it. Don't bother making me wear a uniform or anything, that's not gonna stick. Also, don't expect me to cut my hair or get rid of the purple, it's here to stay. No, those aren't contacts, my eyes are actually yellow. Also, yes, my skin kinda glows sometimes. If you point it out, I'll punch you. I have great jaw muscles, though.

We'll smooth out the details later. Good enough. Now to the nitty gritty. I need to know that you'll be compatible with the other members. I also need to know that you know yourself enough to reveal all aspects of your personality, even the not so good.

Your Personality: I mean, I would say I'm fun to work with and adaptable in an extreme stress environment, but I don't think this is that kind of interview. I guess I'm reliable, if you want shit done. If not, go to someone else.
Strengths: I'm snarky, yes, I think that is a strength of mine. Things don't really get to me easily. I'm dependable because I'll see things through. I'm adaptable because I don't really treat things like others do.
Weaknesses: Don't expect loyalty from me. I'm really not interested in making friends, or getting close to anyone. I don't know what I expect, but I also don't like what you expect of me. Problems with authority, blah blah blah. Listen, I know what I do and I know who I am. Don't expect something from me that you won't see up front.

We'll learn soon enough if what you said is the truth. Now. Tell me about your past. This is vital information, so try not to leave out details. Anything incriminating especially. I need to know if I have to do more paperwork to get you hired.

Your Age: 26
Your Gender & Pronouns: Female | She/Her
Your History: I mean, I'm sure you have looked up my digital footprint and shiz. Find anything interesting? Now you know what stuff I look up in my free time. I guess I was born in a small town in the middle of nowhere, US-of-A, and, well, hated it there. It was gonna kill me one day, I would always say.

Little did I know that the place would try to kill me, not of like, radiation or anything, but from like, child trafficking. Who knew Missouri had a huge human trafficking system in place. Anyway, long story short, I tried to leave, ran through an electric field, and was thought to be dead. . I don't really remember much from that time, because, y'know, trauma and ish, but I found myself waking up like a decade or ish later in a hospital and with powers. That was two years ago. I didn't really, y'know, fit in anywhere, so I went to the military. They turned me away, so I went to the national guard. They told me to go somewhere, who told me to go somewhere else, who finally showed me here.

Personal Secret: I was kidnapped with my childhood best friend, Cynthia. I could have escaped with her, and maybe things would have turned out differently. Instead, I left on my own.

When I came back, I tracked down that old trafficking ring. I got into the building they use as a front, and I could have done something. I could have done something, anything. But I froze, and left.
Personal Wish: I want to figure out what happened to Cynthia. Most importantly, I want to woman up and make those men pay.

I really did not need to know your hopes and aspirations, but thank you for that knowledge. Before we leave, do you have any questions for us?

Other: If you turn me away, at least give me a rec for an insane asylum. That's my last step.

The quote generator! That's a genius idea.
