Name: Loren "Lore" (Euric vys) Arden.

Gender: Male; he/him.
Race: Half-Fey'ri (Half-elf, half-fiend).
Profession: Dragon Rider, but he used to be a thief. Loren has a penchant for stealth and shadow-related magic, and as such he can Shadow Step and also pickpocket.
Bonded Dragon: Serkan - about 500-700 years old, male; dark purple dragon of a large size with a beautiful set of bronze-coloured horns, claws and part of his wings, with bronze eyes. He has a sarcastic, brash attitude and is not afraid to speak his mind--at least, not to Loren. He'll keep his silence--and his opinions--to himself around others.
Appearance: Loren has pale skin and shoulder-length, dark purple-black hair with tiny black horns peeking up out of it, and blue-violet eyes. He's about 5'9 and of an average build. Typically wears black clothing with dark bronze and dark purple accents. He carries a sword and a dagger, and can be seen with a small pack strapped cross-wise over his chest, the pack sitting on one hip.
Personality: Loren is a quiet, sullen young man with a solitary disposition. He rarely smiles and takes things far too seriously, can be incredibly stubborn and much prefers the company of his dragon to that of others. Beyond the sullen, solitary disposition, Loren cares deeply and expansively, and if someone he cared for--like his dragon--were to be threatened or hurt, he'd let his more violent nature take over. And punch them. Repeatedly.
He has a weakness for shiny things and collects them--hoards them, even--and he loves flowers. Which is something that Serkan can agree with; nature is beautiful. Loren isn't very social and, as such, he struggles to interact with people and can come across as extremely blunt and harsh, even when he just means to make a bland statement. Because of this, he prefers to avoid people and much prefers his dragon's company. He feels that Serkan understands him far more than anyone else can.
History: Loren's family are nobility--cousins to the Emperor and the Adonis family both--and had long since given him up for lost. He was born to Lord Calder vys Arden and a Fey'ri posing as an Elf named Siofra--Calder's apparent mistress--who left him with his father soon after. His childhood was fairly normal until his mother came to claim him from his father when he was five or six. She killed him, and Calder's wife--the only mother Loren had known since his birth--sent him to the Council. Loren's a fifth son, so he was considered a spare and not needed.
With the Council, he was raised as any other young lordling and taught to read and write, and to fight--but then his Fey'ri blood began to make itself known and the Council had to make some tough choices. Ultimately, he side-stepped their attempts at manipulation and has grown into an accomplished young dragon rider after they gave him a dragon when he was about fourteen, whereon it chose him and he was bonded with Serkan. He's been working for the Council ever since as a scout and a spy.
Up For Love: Yes, and he's pan. He's down for anyone.
Other: As a youngster, Loren showed a talent for thievery and as a result of that, Loren now has two talents in that field;
- Shadow Step (Magic): the ability to slip into shadows where nothing except perhaps a dragon may be able to see him.
- Pickpocket: a purely physical skill wherein Loren can pick a person’s pocket without them noticing--a holdover from his thievery days.
