Monte Eldorado

Return to Eternal

Creator: Chaser
Roleplay: Eternal
Nickname: Monte

Current Alias: Monte Eldorado

Godly Name: Orcus

Magic: Monte can generate magical contracts that forcibly collect debts. This extends from money to organs to souls, as long as the recipient agrees and signs. If the contract is damaged, it becomes void, but turns Monte into a cyclopean monster for a period as a result. This is added to his ability to see and speak with the dead.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Monte is a heavyset Latin man with stubby fingers, a subdued buzz cut, and cold, dark eyes. He wears a beat-up brown coat and worn boots. Generally, he always looks unfocused and untidy.

Personality: Monte is a contemplative and laid-back man, giving off an aura of relaxation and vulnerability. Scruffy and hardworking, he's one to keep on keeping on in silence.

Monte's oddest trait is his inspirational quality. His words tend to strike a chord with most people, but it never seems to be one of hope. It fills them with determination, but also desperation. Monte's attitude can go from relaxed to overwhelming, forcing people to honor their promises.

Up for Romance: Sure

Backstory: Orcus' obscurity led centuries to pass before his birth as a Roman God. He woke up near a poorly constructed altar in a field at the base of a mountain; by that time, Rome had been torn apart by the Gauls. Monte first used his immortality to participate in whatever war was going on at the time. It was here that he learned of his ability to see the dead, though usually it was those he had killed, and they often had some choice words for him. His transformative powers were discovered as a result of his short-lived attempt to become an author.
In the 1900s, he reigned as a gambler and loan shark in the West, attempting to accrue as much wealth as possible. He has mellowed out since, and has taken to living under a bridge and talking down the people who consider jumping.

Other: Monte is an excellent poker player, with unnatural luck.
