Appearance: Fandral is roughly 6.2 feet tall. He has long, brown hair and wears the traditional Jedi robes, colored in tan and golden tones, while the darker shaded brown cloak drapes over his shoulders and back. Despite avoiding confrontation at all cost, there is often no other way. As a result, his body is covered in a great deal of scars.
Personality: Jedi Master Fandral Shen is a very stern and strict Jedi. He has known nothing but the way of the Jedi for his entire life. Due to this, he has developed a serious nature, though he does have slight humorous sides. Sometimes. In these later years, he has grown used to attempts at humor, as his Padawan often thinks he’s funny. For a long time now, he has been viewed as one of the most respected and knowledgeable members within the Jedi Order.
Flaws/Weaknesses: Due to a somewhat philosophical nature, he’ll often try to look at certain situations from an outside point of view, a lot of the time to try to avoid a fight. Being quite skilled within the force, this often works to his advantage, yet others not. There are times when he should go headfirst into combat, yet he doesn’t.
Power/s: The Force.
History: Fandral is the only child of his father, a Jedi, and his mother, a waitress. By the time he had barely turned two; his father had already conducted the necessary tests to check whether or not he could control the force. He could. Very well. As he turned five years old, he was slowly inducted into the Jedi Order, training with the other younglings. And at the age of 11, he was selected as a Padawan to the revered Jedi Master Liadrin Loeb. Under her guidance, he learned not only to master the force, but to master himself.
Personally, Shen faced several hardships. His father passed away way too soon. He was struck by a fatal, yet slow sickness, which gradually took his life over a few years. He barely got to see his son officially become a padawan before he passed. Fandral carried his father’s old lightsaber ever since. His mother would eventually pass as well. But Shen was far into his 30s when this happened.
Back home, on Emera, he has a wife waiting for him. He has spent a lot of his time on this planet, training new Jedi, being a notable wise master within the system. But he’ll often also travel due to missions for the Jedi Order. They’ll still keep in touch often, communicating daily with technological means. The old, unspoken rule of Jedi’s not being able to marry has long since been ignored, and Shen married his chosen one, Taela, four years ago. And now, as his experience and wisdom is required to investigate this issue and the imbalance within the force, he is forced to temporarily leave his pregnant(!) wife behind.
As he leaves for the planet of Asyteria aboard the Starship ‘The Arwen’, he brings with him his trusted padawan, Eustor Kregron.
