Personality: Arin is an incredibly creative sort, something that has given him an edge in both survival and music spaces. It feels like he is constantly torn between the urge to return to nature and connect with the Earth, and to continue pursuing the career he worked so hard to establish. Despite his dolled-up appearance, he doesn't have much of a mind for material things, and isn't afraid to get dirty (within reason). Though he is kind and loves charming people with his sweet persona, he is used to playing solo and relying on himself, which makes team-effort his kryptonite.

Appearance: He stands roughly 5'7, with a small frame. He has vibrant green eyes, porcelain skin without a blemish in sight, and fluffy, shiny blond hair with a slightly wavy texture. His hair falls down to his hips, and he likes to accessorize it, usually with some clips and small bows, plus a braided portion on the right side. It's not uncommon for people to mistake him for a girl, but he doesn't mind getting called 'she' either.

He tends to wear cute outfits befitting his pop-rock style, and on stage, they can be absolutely wild. But in the context of the story, he defaults to a cropped white shirt with a decorative purple bow, and black denim shorts with black leggings underneath, plus some fashionable tears and rhinestone studs. A sheer, translucent pale blue scarf is tied around his waist, with the tails of the knot running down to his knees. His shoes are fashionable dark gray and black hiking boots, with moderate heels.

Short backstory: Arin was born in an urban hellscape, and started life on a very sour note. His family was dysfunctional, and by the time he was seven, his father had left them. His mother drifted in and out of homelessness, and Arin started learning bit by bit how to take care of himself. That lesson served him well, as even when his mother tried to pick up the pieces of their shattered life, she was largely neglectful. Arin had to be self-reliant to survive.

However, Arin at least got to spend long periods with his grandparents in a more rural area, and he was captivated by the change in scenery, fascinated by what nature could provide for him. He started watching survival shows, and would read up on all the books he could find. Wherever there was an opportunity to learn about nature, animals, and survival, he would take it. By 15, Arin took up poetry, trying to capture that beauty in words. Poetry turned into lyrics, and then into songs, and then into full musical numbers with his own choreography. When sharing with friends at school, some laughed of course...but some saw potential, and recommended some clubs to encourage him. By 16, he was uploading his videos to the internet, charming people with his sweet voice, neat dancing, and flamboyant style. He was even able to get a small stream of money going from the support.

Arin passed 1m subscribers around his 18th birthday, and was able to put his music on official platforms. Latching onto that lifeline, he used the funds to move back into the city and rent a studio to record in, and has been focused on his music for years. By now, he is certainly no celebrity, but he has a great gig going. Although, he often finds himself missing the great outdoors. He'll use the excuse of 'photo-ops' and 'potential video locations' to travel, but often has dreams of spending a long time alone with Mother Earth. And sure, most people would look at his dolled-up appearance and laugh at the thought of him being a survivalist, but just as he proved those high-school hecklers wrong, he'll be more than happy to prove these guys wrong too...

Reason for being in Searchlight: Arin is technically in the area looking for good photo and video material—although that's more of an excuse for him to go sightseeing, take in the views, hit up famous landmarks, and generally get in touch with nature again.
