Whisper

Return to The Headquarters

Creator: Leya
Roleplay: The Headquarters
Nickname: Elena

Your Response: Understood!

Hmm. Closer to the microphone. State your name for the record.

Your Name: Elena Vasquez

Okay. First mistake of this job. We don't use our actual names here. Give me an alias.

Your Alias: Whisper

Really? That's the best you can come up with? No, no, we're moving forward. What makes you qualified for this job?

Your Abilities: I can read minds and cast realistic illusions. Very cool if you ask me.
Strengths: I can create illusions to blend in or distract, and I can read minds to gather information discreetly. I excel in deception and persuasion, I'm a quick thinker, and I'm adept at blending into high-society environments.
Weaknesses: Using illusions can be mentally exhausting, and mind reading is limited to surface thoughts and can be overwhelming in crowded places. Overconfidence can lead me to make risky decisions, and I have difficulty in physical confrontation. I can become disoriented if any illusions are disrupted, and I occasionally struggle to separate my own thoughts from the ones I read.

Hmm. Okay, so what are you planning on wearing to the battlefield? Nothing ridiculous. I'm not going to waste my resources on a flashy suit just for you to die on the first mission.

Your Appearance: I'm pretty tall. I prefer high-end fashion. As for what I'd wear... honestly, not sure. Probably a sleek dress. I always carry a discreet, multi-functional bracelet that aids in my illusion casting. Heels are my go to, but I can definitely tone it down and wear something like flats (even though I may not want to).

We'll smooth out the details later. Good enough. Now to the nitty gritty. I need to know that you'll be compatible with the other members. I also need to know that you know yourself enough to reveal all aspects of your personality, even the not so good.

Your Personality: I'm charismatic and adaptable, with a natural talent for reading people and situations. I'm confident in social settings and skilled at manipulation. Not very good at expressing my own emotions, though. I tend to focus only on the task at hand and I'm not really interested in forming close relationships with other people.
Strengths: I'm persuasive, really good at improvisation, and I like to think I can stay calm under pressure. Though, if things get too hectic, I do tend to get a bit frustrated.
Weaknesses: I can be overly secretive, sometimes too manipulative, and I have a hard time trusting others. I occasionally struggle with ethical implications of mind reading. Being overly ambitious could also be a downfall for me, but I don't mind it. It's better to be overly ambitious than to be shy and anxious.

We'll learn soon enough if what you said is the truth. Now. Tell me about your past. This is vital information, so try not to leave out details. Anything incriminating especially. I need to know if I have to do more paperwork to get you hired.

Your Age: 24
Your Gender & Pronouns: Female, she/her
Your History: I grew up in a wealthy family, and was trained in social etiquette and diplomacy at a young age. During the Mecha War, I was part of an experimental program that implanted neural technology designed to coordinate Mecha units in battle. After the war, I reprogrammed by implant to enhance my natural cognitive functions, allowing me to read minds. I have used my abilities in numerous operations, manipulating events to gain an edge in high-society circles. I have a history of using my powers to manipulate events in my favor, often walking the line between legality and criminality.
Personal Secret: I once manipulated a high-profile politician's mind to prevent another war, a secret that could get me in serious trouble if caught.
Personal Wish: To create a world where my abilities are no longer needed, and I can live without constantly looking over my shoulder.

I really did not need to know your hopes and aspirations, but thank you for that knowledge. Before we leave, do you have any questions for us?

Other: Nope! I think I'm all set.
