Artemis

Return to The Headquarters

Creator: Ranger
Roleplay: The Headquarters
Nickname: Celeste Malory

Sit down. I'm Commander Furia, head of HQ. If you get this job, you'll take orders from me. Understood?

Your Response: Understood, Madam.

Hmm. Closer to the microphone. State your name for the record.

Your Name: Celeste Malory.

Okay. First mistake of this job. We don't use our actual names here. Give me an alias.

Your Alias: Artemis should suffice in that case.

Really? That's the best you can come up with? No, no, we're moving forward. What makes you qualified for this job?

Your Abilities: To put it simply, I was well versed in the military and after volunteering for experimentation essentially it went wrong so to speak, however I consider it went well, and now my molecules are rather unstable, vibrating at a slightly different frequency then normal.
Strengths: This... different frequency allows me to become invisible and is especially effective in the dark. It let's me scope things out before sending anyone in to see what we're up against first. As long as I don't use it for too long.
Weaknesses: If I use the invisibility for too long, little spots of light begin to appear on and around my body, like little stars. As for my body itself, including anything I'm wearing starts to become shadowy and void-like. Apparently my eyes glow as well I've been told, however, once I reach that point it takes quite some time, often half a day or more, until my appearance returns to normal again.

Hmm. Okay, so what are you planning on wearing to the battlefield? Nothing ridiculous. I'm not going to waste my resources on a flashy suit just for you to die on the first mission.

Your Appearance: Something dark. My white hair and silver eyes, which i think might still have a hint of green in them sometimes, put off enough energy as is. I don't need my fair skin doing the same, although I have been working on trying to tan it a little bit, that's just ended up becoming a light spattering of freckles as you can see. Anyway, black is prefered as it helps contain and stabilize my energy until I'm ready to use it. Something on the tighter side would be nice so it's not rustling around making noise and something long to keep the elements off. A long coat or cloak maybe as long as it doesn't make too much noise.

We'll smooth out the details later. Good enough. Now to the nitty gritty. I need to know that you'll be compatible with the other members. I also need to know that you know yourself enough to reveal all aspects of your personality, even the not so good.

Your Personality: I'm quiet, people say often scarily so. I look at all aspects of everything to determine the right course of action. I'm a strategist and know exactly what to do and when to do it based on planning so I don't jump to conclusions
Strengths: I'm calculating and careful and think before striking, always. I know how to stay perfectly calm in tense situations and look for what's best for everyone on the team, not just myself or a certain person. I like to take care of things quietly, quickly, and not draw too much attention since that always just leads to bad situations.
Weaknesses: However, I've been told I can be cold and heartless once I make up my mind.

We'll learn soon enough if what you said is the truth. Now. Tell me about your past. This is vital information, so try not to leave out details. Anything incriminating especially. I need to know if I have to do more paperwork to get you hired.

Your Age: 24
Your Gender & Pronouns: Female, she/her
Your History: I joined the military as soon as I could and got accepted into Captain school. From there, I subjected myself to the experiment that made me what I am now to get rid of the hesitation in the lower ranks and boost participation in the projects. Once I learned how to control the ability and prove that it had not effected me in any harmful way mentally or physically, I continued to climb the ranks, eventually becoming a commanding officer. I got to call the shots on certain missions. One mission went rather terribly but none of us had any fault or way of knowing it would. I made the best descisions I could for everyone involved.
Personal Secret: My sister was on that mission and the best descision for everyone wasn't exactly in her favor. I'm not scared of much but... I'm scared of talking to her again. She could never forgive me for what I did and would never understand my thought process and why I did it. That's why she never made it to captain school. She can't make the hard choices.
Personal Wish: I just wish I could figure out some way to make it up to her. For her to understand...

I really did not need to know your hopes and aspirations, but thank you for that knowledge. Before we leave, do you have any questions for us?

Other: No, Madam. Thank you for your time.

(An idea on how she looks once she's used her power too long)
