Name: Iliya (Liya) Makrone

Gender and pronouns: Female; she/her.
Appearance: Wavy blonde hair, greenish-gray eyes, and a smile on her face. Liya tends to accessorize with flowers instead of jewelry and she usually dresses pretty simply (although her roles on stage often require her to wear more elaborate clothes). Liya looks young for her age, which was frustrating as a child, but now she’s resigned herself to the fact and she uses her innocent looks to her advantage (such as in gaining the trust of nobles).
Role and act in Harbinger's Society: Singer and actor. Liya plays the role of Innamorati (young lovers), which often involves singing. As one of the Innamorati, Liya acts graceful, conceited, and deeply in love with the idea of being in love. She wears fashionable dresses and adds a lilt into her voice whenever she plays this role.
Role in missions and heists: Liya is not afraid to suck up to nobles when necessary, which has helped the company get out of a tight spot or two. In general, she’s diplomatic and skilled at making others feel appreciated. She also has the ability to put people to sleep and/or blur their memories with a song, which can be pretty much anything she knows, as long as she sings it with the right feeling and tempo. This power affects everyone in earshot, however, so Liya tries to carry extra scraps of fabric with her, just in case Harbinger’s Society members will need to use them as earplugs.
Personality: Liya is the kind of person you’d like to sit down and have a cup of tea with. She exudes a relaxed yet interested aura and excels in helping others feel confident about themselves. Liya also loves spending time with the younger members of the Harbinger’s Society, and although she likes to pretend that she’s a completely responsible adult, pretty much everyone has caught her laughing at a prank at some point.
Strengths: Simply put, Liya makes people feel good about themselves. She’s quite perceptive and always notices whenever one of the children in the Society has had a bad day. In fact, whenever she sees someone of any age feeling down, Liya immediately sits down to have a chat with them to see if she can help in any way. She’s also a decent problem-solver, and due to her connections all over the Society, people usually listen to her when she tries to settle the occasional dispute.
Weaknesses: Although Liya loves helping others, it can come at the expense of her time and energy. She also can’t stand conflict, and if she isn’t able to resolve an argument, she feels guilty and needs to spend some time on her own to regain some confidence and energy. She’s been working on her tendency to avoid conflict, because sometimes a peacemaker isn’t the right role to play, but she hasn’t made much progress yet.
History in the Harbinger's Society: Liya was born into the Harbinger’s Society. Her parents are both actors who used to play the roles of Innamorati, but moved on to roles such as Pantalone and La Signora (wealthy, proud characters who may stand in the way of the Innamorati) as they grew older. Her younger brother has been fascinated with juggling since he was young, but Liya always knew she would follow in her parents' footsteps and become an actor. Her parents are still fairly active in the Society, occasionally appearing onstage and frequently helping train the younger actors.
Other: Liya loves flowers. She can often be found with a lily tucked behind her ear or with a bracelet of daisies on her wrist.
