Appearance: His appearance has the gritty sort of vibe you get from a post-apocalyptic/Supernatural character. The vibe doesn't extend to his personality, but it's a good way to describe his appearance.
Daniel is a notably tall man. I wouldn't say he's enormous, but he definitely is taller than most people by at least an inch. He's also lean; if he has muscles, they're well-hidden.
He has somewhat long brown hair that he almost always keeps in a ponytail, and a pair of silver eyes that are so light that they look white in some lights.
His outfits almost always include his brown leather jacket, black combat boots, silver ring, and jeans. The designs on the t-shirts he wears vary; sometimes they're plain, and other times they're not.
Personality: Daniel embodies the bad boy stereotype. He's charismatic and cool - not in the sense of being level-headed, but in the sense of being easy to idolize. He doesn't exactly crack jokes, but he seems to think he's funny. It's obvious to anyone that hangs out with him for more than a few minutes that he's a total extrovert. I think the best way to describe him is that he can come across as an extrovert to a large group of people, but not actually interact with the majority of them on a deep level.
Still, Daniel does have the potential of becoming noticeably withdrawn. It doesn't happen a lot, but he gets especially melancholy during the winter.
Brief History: If asked, Daniel will tell you that his life has been relatively unremarkable. He grew up in New Jersey with a lot of siblings, but he wasn't close to any of them - or his parents. When he was old enough to live on his own, he left them and traveled around for a bit.
By the time he saw an ad online for Apartment 309E, he had saved up enough money to afford it. He still needed a job in the area, though, so he found one at the local bookstore.
One thing that usually doesn't come up is how he got involved at a young age in a slighter darker side of the world - hunting down supernatural beings. Specifically, hunting down cryptids. He still does that even now, but it's been toned back a bit from his younger days.
Other: Daniel has an absurdly good sense of smell - if someone was cooking something inside of the apartment, for example, he'd be able to smell it from the other end of the floor.
He also keeps both of his jobs a secret from the other people in Apartment 309E. It's not to protect them or anything like that; he just keeps forgetting to bring it up, or gets distracted when it comes up in conversation.
