Appearance: Jane appears to be her age. She has short auburn hair, brown eyes and a splattering of freckles across her skin. Her clothes are usually showy. When she doesn't need to dress nice, the outfit usually is a crop top, denim shorts and a stylish pair of converses. She never wears makeup.

Jane does have the ability to conjure a pair of transparent wings and let her ears grow longer, but she rarely uses it. Looking human works well enough for her job.

Personality: Jane is known for having a carefree attitude. She's always excited for the next case or adventure, but there's a maturity to her that suggests that she's not an innocent young girl. She's the type of person you can't help but notice in a room. And, once you notice her, she's quick to notice you, too.

She's encouraging, but not in a gentle kind of way. If you need to be nudged in the right direction, she'll do the pushing. As the founder of the Supernatural Detective Agency, she's the seemingly natural born leader. She doesn't soften the truth, but she's also not entirely rude about it - she knows when she needs to rein back.

Brief History: If anyone asked Jane who the most important person in her life was, she'd say her twin brother Nathan. The two of them grew up joined at the hip. With Nathan as the shyer, more nervous one of the two of them, Jane would lead them on countless childhood escapades. Growing up in the middle of nowhere let them test their abilities without being noticed by the nearby humans who lived almost a mile away.

The two honed their magical talents. It wasn't for any purpose; they just needed something to occupy the time. By the time they reached adulthood and decided to leave their rural wilderness behind, the two were widely versed in spellcasting and distinguishing truth from lies.

During a conversation one day, Jane suddenly got the idea for the agency. Nathan didn't want a part in it, so Jane began the first solo endeavor of her entire life. She's been running the agency ever since, hanging out with her twin brother during lulls in cases.

Talents: She has an incredibly strong memory. It's almost certainly photographic, but she can also recall other things with little prompting. Besides her good memory, she's well-read, knows people in high places, and is overall a very charismatic person.

Other: Though Jane and Nathan have very similar skill sets, their powers have one main difference: Jane is good at registering the truth, while Nathan is good at registering lies. Jane can recognize when someone is telling the truth, but can tell when someone is lying by the truth not being present. Nathan works the other way around. Their magic isn't perfect, and can be tricked by a skilled liar. Half-truths and half-lies also easily confuse the two of them. For the best results, Jane and Nathan need to be together.



It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle.
