Kathryn Kent

Return to Eternal

Creator: Elinor
Roleplay: Eternal
Nickname: Kate

Current Alias: Kathryn Kent
Godly Name: Venus
Magic: Anyone who's interacted with Kathryn always says they feel less aggressive, more confident, and peaceful. it might have something to do with her special powers, but she's not confirming or denying anything.
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: Sometimes called Kate, she learned very early on that the world didn't owe her a thing, and if she was going to succeed in life she was going to make her own way. Often, this came by way of romancing countless men. She's unapologetic, fierce and confident in her decision making. If she has any flaws, it's that she can often feel competitive with other women, even if she says she isn't.
Up for Romance: Who would she be if she wasn't? She's straight.
Backstory: Kathryn first came to one day in Ancient Rome. She had no identity and no idea of where she was and how she got there. But she was always very beautiful, and men noticed. She married a senator named Marcellus, and took to calling herself Aurelia. He was perfectly content to have his wife more or less be his arm candy, and thus he did not question her lack of knowledge about basic things. But she quickly learned, and they took to raising a family. She didn't notice until several years had passed that she didn't age like everyone else seemed to. And when Marcellus died, leaving her to raise their two children alone, she realized there was something different about her. As years turned into decades and then centuries, Kathryn - going by different names with each lifetime - moved from place to place, never letting herself get tied down. As she learned much about the world and human behavior, she became very good at understanding them, especially when it came to love and romance, and the friends she did make always turned to her for advice, especially because she never seemed to have any problems herself.

Her greatest love came in the 1860s with a soldier named Robert. She lived in New York then and called herself Molly then. When he died, she was devastated, and promised to never get too attached to anyone herself. Even if she lost one man or a friend, there would always be more. From then on, her attitude about dating and relationships was much more casual.

She moved to Los Angeles to start life over again as Kathryn Kent five years before the events of the story, and currently owns an upscale clothing boutique in Beverly Hills.

Other: Twenty years earlier, she applied to the New Yorker to write an online anonymous romance column, called Dear Rose, and was accepted. It is incredibly popular, and in addition to her clothing boutique, she manages hundreds of submissions a day.
