Amaranth Inflorescence

Return to Shattered Moons

Creator: sheysse
Roleplay: Shattered Moons
Nickname: Amaranth

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Symbol: That flowery thingy I already posted. It's in the first post.

Race: Human

Theme: Pear Green, Olive Green, Jam Purple

Appearance: Wears a sleaveless Pear Green jacket that is long enough to reach down to her knees, and doesn't have a means of buttoning of zipping or closing the jacket. On the back of the jacket is Amaranth's symbol, the flower above the banners. Below it is a Jam Purple tunic, button down, but with faded buttons too small to really see. It's tucked under a pair of short shorts, the type that are much wider than the legs they're on, and end up greatly resembling skirts. The shorts also Jam Purple, and have a vine pattern in Pear Green printed on them. Below them is a pair of Olive Green leggings with no special design pattern, ended by a pair of a Jam Purple boots with Pear Green leaf-shaped buckles. She has no sleeves, but wears Pear Green gloves that have Olive Green palms. Her hair is long, dark purple, and has a single ponytail which is considerably longer than the rest of her hair, and her eyes are a bright purple. She's not too tall and not too short, the average for her age.

Weapon: On one hand is a green, bud-shaped metal contraption that opens into a shield. The shield consists of purple metal 'petals' that interlock and spin open, forming a very powerful shield design. On the other hand is a green gauntlet which functions like a gun. The projectiles it fires are sharp discus shaped like leaves, to really stretch the character theme. Her gauntlet is what appears to be a cluster of leaves on her wrist, but is connected to metal vines wrapping around all the way to her shoulder. The vines have sharp metal thorns protruding out from them, coated in limb paralysis poison that she has built an immunity to. (The poison can paralyze the individual limb it comes into contact with, and for a short time. Nothing major.) She named the weapon Bloody Blossom.

Semblance: Her acute awareness becomes more refined in the sunlight. When the sun is shining down onto her, she is able to predict basic actions, using minor foresight, and adjust her actions accordingly. This allows for her to keep up with normally faster enemies. She also has better sense in the sunlight, meaning ambushing her is nearly impossible when the sun is out. Of course, none of these benefits apply to her during the night time, or in shadows, and the semblance's effects are directly linked to the intensity of the light (I.e. a cloudy day with little sunlight means less overall awareness). Her semblance is called Daylight Bloom.

Personality: Amaranth is a cheery, hopeful character always hoping for the best. She is extremely needy pertaining to social situations, and hates being alone for much time. She cares deeply about her teammates and friends, and has an unnatural ability to show empathy. This can lead to many problems, including disappointment when others do not return these feelings, and grief or anger when the ones she's empathizing with feels that way. However, these traits are also the reason she became leader, since this deeper understanding of the ones she is close to allows her to lead them better. It is much easier to give someone orders when you know how they'll receive those orders, and why. Her leadership was not determined by her combat abilities, or anything of the sort; her empathetic traits were the sole contributor to her current position.

History: As a child, her parents sold her to afford raising their eldest child. She was a victim of child slavery for three years before being rescued by an unaffiliated hunter and huntress couple. They adopted her at just age six, and she was raised to follow in their footsteps. However, the ones who purchased her escaped with their life, and are now trying to find Amaranth and take back what they believe is their property. The fundamental reason Amaranth was trained to fight was to defend herself for the day when she inevitably is faced by the figure of her dark past. Uncharacteristically, she also thirsts for revenge. She wants nothing more than to see her blood parents and blood brother die in a slow, horrible, very painful way. Ultimately, she will never kill them, because she's above that, but it is a driving force behind her actions.

Up for love: Definitely.

Other: She's a hopeless romantic.
