How they enter the Dust City: Minerva is an expert neurologist and physiologist who travels to the Dust City by tapping into the mind of her seven year old daughter, who is a Lucid.
Skills: Minerva lacks special powers, so she uses gadgets that she creates. She's good with computers and talented at fighting.
Appearance: Minerva is a tall, red haired woman with fiery green eyes. When visiting the Dust City, she wears a red strapless dress, black boots and a hooded cape.
Personality: Minerva is a cold, logical, curious and cunning woman. She lacks empathy towards others and only does things to accomplish her own goals. She has a need to understand and control everything, including the Dust City.
History: Minerva was born in a small village in South East England. She had a simple and normal childhood, but she always wanted to be part of another world. She decided she wanted to leave the village and become a scientist so she studied hard and went to Cambridge University. After she graduated she moved to a village in France, where she met her future husband Nicholas Morouge. The two got married and bought a house in Paris, and had two twin daughters: Charlotte and Alice. About 5 years later Nicholas divorced Minerva and moved to Germany with his new wife Angeline. Nicholas wanted to take the twins with him, but Minerva refused.
Alice got extremely ill soon after he left and was sent to hospital. She is currently in coma.
One day, Charlotte started babbling on about a magical city she was transported to through her dreams. At first Minerva didn't believe it, but her daughter's nonsensical ramblings became far too detailed for a seven year old. Minerva did some research, and began performing tests on her daughter using her old lab equipment. She soon discovered that the Dust City really did exist, and that her daughter was the link that would allow her to travel there.
After a full year of research Minerva managed to transport herself to the Dust City, although the link was very unstable and Charlotte could only withstand the experience for a few hours. However once Minerva met the Impalpables that all changed. By using the red liquid, she could enter Charlotte's mind at her leisure, and even transport others there if she wished.
Other:
Minerva was named Crimson Envy because of her hair and the jealousy she felt towards the Lucids and the Gifted. She believes all people should have access to the city, not just the privileged few.
