Stella Eimer

Return to Defenders of the Dust City

Creator: Lael
Roleplay: Defenders of the Dust City
Nickname: Stella

Name: Stella Eimer

Age: 17

Character Type: Gifted

Their city of residence: Houston

How they enter the Dust City: She dreams that she is running up flights of stairs in a glass skyscraper, being chased by somebody whose face she has never seen. She runs all the way to the roof. There, if she chooses to jump off of the skyscraper, she’ll fall and appear in the Dust City before she can hit the ground.

Powers: She can manipulate the wind.

Skills: She is a dancer, so she’s strong and graceful/agile. She is also proficient in playing the violin.

Appearance: Standing at about 5’3”, Stella is thin, though obviously packed with muscle. She has brown eyes and long, straight, black-brown hair that she wears in a ponytail when having dance rehearsals. When not dancing, she would most likely be wearing a cute top with either a skirt or jeans; regardless of her normal outfit, she likes to wear white platform sneakers with it.

Personality: Though very much introverted and inwardly anxious about making social blunders, Stella is a sweet, sincere individual who tries to be friendly to everyone she meets; however, many times she finds that connecting with others can be tough and nerve-wracking. She is serious and practical, yet also a dreamer and a lover of beauty. She is hardworking and a perfectionist, especially when it comes to her art.

History: Stella was born in Houston and has lived there for her whole life. She grew up with her parents, Simon and Eliza, and also has an older brother, Ethan, who is now a freshman in college. Her father is a member of the US Army, so he is, unfortunately, often absent. Stella has been dancing since she was very young, and picked up violin not too soon afterwards; she is currently on her school’s dance team and in the orchestra, which are time-consuming and keep her on her toes about balancing these and her vigorous schoolwork, but she manages pretty well.

Stella discovered the Dust City when she was 13 years old and immediately fell in love with it, as it was like a fulfillment of the stories she’d only wished she could experience in real life; what made it even better was the discovery that she had some control over the winds there. She began to visit as often as she could, and it was because of this that she discovered that her father, who wasn’t home at the time, was a Lucid. Now, they can correspond this way, a secret between just the two of them, though he usually can’t come. However, he did also warn her to be careful, especially when it came to her power: though the Dust City was like a fantasy, there was also danger lurking about.

Other: She mostly does contemporary and modern dance. Besides dance and music, she is a voracious reader of novels, especially fantasy.

I’d heard he had started a fistfight in one of the seedier local taverns because someone had insisted on saying the word “utilize” instead of “use".
